Home and Away - 1996 - Chloe's Ordeal (part 1)

The first segment of Chloe's massive storyline from the latter half of 1996. Chloe is raped while walking home alone from a dance party. Once word gets around, the finger of suspicious points to Alex, who has been acting strangely since a recent explosion has caused him memory loss and erratic behaviour.

The scene where Shannon awkwardly tells Chloe that they've caught the guy, then rushes off to tell Alex without even trying to comfort her, is just weird. Chloe was supposed to be one of her best friends, and Shannon was all about the girl power! She wouldn't prioritise her boyfriend in that instance, especially considering she herself was abused as a child. Very out-of-character moment.

@@SummerBayJournal I love Shannon and Mandy, it was obvious Shannon left to be with her and Shannon was bi, very strongly implied and these days, like with Charlie and Joey, Alex and Willow they'd be allowed to show them kissing, apparently, scenes were cut with Shannon and Mandy. I loved it when Alex and Mandy met and Shannon had two people close to her, not that they were in a love triangle, just that they got along . I did'nt like Shannon with Lauchie, they just diid'nt seem suited.
