I recently had a ruptured appendix ,however the first doctor at the ER misdiagnosed me and injected me with an anti spasmodic drug without doing any tests. I did not have a fever and did not have any vomiting.The pain was all over my stomach and worse than childbirth. It did hurt when the doctor pressed on the right side but she still ignored this saying anyone would say it hurt if she pressed them there. My 15 year old son took me to another hospital in the middle of the night where they diagnosed me immediately and did a CT scan and blood tests. I was operated on very quickly and had a ruptured appendix and twisted bowel. Thank God for my son ignoring the first hospital and taking me to another hospital! I’m lucky to be alive!🙏
If the pain is getting worse then you definitely need to be seen.It’s not normal to be in that kind of pain for that long.I would definitely suggest that you get seen again ...you need tests and a scan to find out what going on!If it is appendicitis’s /a ruptured appendix it needs emergency surgery . How did u know to be seen? Was it sudden? My pain is all around my belly button and cramping and I hurt when I move, etc. No fever or vomit but I feel nauseated. The middle of my stomach feels sick, plus can’t touch it hardly. Ugh
It came on suddenly after breakfast and continued the whole flight home from vacation....I knew I needed to be seen because I couldn’t walk very far and the pain had gone on for 24 hours and had become intolerable.I couldn’t sleep or eat and I was desperate for pain relief and a diagnosis.I was misdiagnosed but the pain continued for another 16 hours at which point my son insisted I go back to the ER. Wishing you all the best.Always get checked out by a doctor because if my son hadn’t insisted I probably wouldn’t be here.
I had an appendicitis and appendectomy 2 weeks post partum! It was the worst. And my pain was actually on my left side- somehow it was radiating on the opposite side. I had an ultrasound then a scan and saw the infection so I went into surgery almost immediately. 😭 def scary. Watching this now because I think my 10 year old might be having one.
My son had an appendectomy 2 days ago now. He had chronic appendicitis- not acute. After the 4th go around of sickness the doctors finally took his appendix.
I like how you aim to make an accessible test for appendicitis in kids. To make it even more accessible, could you also show the test in action? Thanks for your service!
Damn, you are so handsome!! ;) As a pharmacist, this information is super useful because my patients tend to come to me first about their symptoms before making an appointment with their physician or going to the emergency department. When in doubt, if he/she is in excruciating pain, go to the ED!

I nearly died when i was 12 cause of this. My appendix ruptured & it was & still the worst pain ive ever felt. My skin turned green it was on day 5 that i was rushed to the hospital.
I had my appendix removed when I was nine or ten; just recently I learned that my appendix was so inflamed and swollen that had I waited another day to tell my grandma what was going on, my appendix would have ruptured and I would most likely be dead.
@Alphathegameplayz Just tell your parents because they'll know what to do. Undergoing an appendectomy isn't as bad as some like to believe; mine lasted an hour.
So I woke up around 3 in the morning yesterday, I was having stomach pain and went to use the bathroom, when I sat down to use the bathroom I started to get VERY painful cramps, which made me vomit, I waited a few minutes and went to attempt to use the bathroom again but the cramps came back and were very painful . I ended being able to use the bathroom and felt better after. I still have a little weird feeling in my stomach, should I be worried?
Doc, I’m currently suspecting I have appendicitis but I don’t want my parents to worry My question is that what if the pain is just directly from my right abdomen and it didn’t come from my navel??

OMG i was just in the ER a day ago and they said i’m fine but my pain is only getting worse! Should I go to a different ER?

This. A lot of doctors discount moms. It’s extremely aggravating and also makes getting a diagnosis take much longer.
