Craig Ferguson you are the best. When your show ended... it ended American late night and ended a chapter in American comedy. You are sorely missed. If I'm feeling down, I just watch one of your many videos on UA-cam. Thanks.
Well said and 100% correct! Craig's Late Night Television show was the absolute best, period. Now I'm not disrespecting any of the legendary Late Night Hosts like Johnny Carson, David Letterman, Conan O`Brien. They were all brilliant in their own way as well, but Craig Ferguson was able to really make Late Night Television shows fun again. His show wasn't the same old routine. Yes he had a monolog at the beginning. Maybe a skit after, and then he talked to his guests. He never just "interviewed" his guests. He talked to them. They'd have a casual conversation. It wasn't the same old thing. Craig's show brought a fresh and Unique look to it and it made the show so much better and fun to watch. Which is why so many of his guests had said that they thought that Craig's show was the best of them all and if given a choice they'd rather be a guest on his show than the others. Mila Kunis was one of them. Her visits to Craig's shows are epic, legendary, and beyond funny! What's so nauseating nowadays is that the Social Justice Warrior mentality would be totally offended by what Craig said or how he acted. What's so amazing is that never once did Craig ever do or say anything that was intentionally offensive or blatantly disrespectful towards anyone. Sometimes a JOKE is JUST A JOKE! I also miss his show. When his last show aired Late-Night Television, well I stopped watching it. There isn't one show on Late-Night TV that is even remotely close to the level of quality and humor that Craig's show was.
Craig's Late Night Show is the only show I repeatedly watch through the years since it ended. The laughs now are still fresh and even if a bit dated funny because it was a shared lived experience in time. Main thing though is Craig just always pushing the limits of network TV. I love his books and stand up but crave a serial type venue so when I saw this---gasp!! Thank you, says the junkie for the tiny fix!
I saw you in Calgary in a small venue, many years ago. You crushed it, but what most impressed me was at the end you walked into the audience and chatted with everyone. You Rock buddy. A Canadian fan
Craig Ferguson was the best talk show host day or night, and Melissa Rauch is one of the loveliest personalities on the planet. I envy both of them for getting to sit down and chat with the other. Truly enjoyed this. Craig, I caught your standup show in the Kitchener, Ontario a few years back. It was a terrific evening. I hope you can bring your show over to Ireland.
I have a great idea for the podcast. Have Geoff Peterson on for a long-overdue reunion in the first half, then you 2 get into your inevitable argument & bid each other adieu. At this point you call in Josh Robert Thompson to finish the interview. Your fans would all LOVE this! Especially if you all did the always hilarious "I got a place there" banter.
I’m a huge CF fan from late night. My favorite show was all of them but the one with Robin Williams when he calls for Clamidia your dads here still cracks me up.
I look forward to every new podcast. I walk my dog a total of 4 or 5 hours a day and absolutely love to listen to you talk to your guests. Keep up the fantastic work!
Craig, so glad to have found your new podcast. Loved your late night show on CBS. Funniest night show ever on network television. Please consider upgrading your podcast camera. You are much too sharp looking of a person, to look so fuzzy (like a dream montage). Much luck to you, and thank you for the laughs!
I didn't know Craig had a podcast. He's still got it. I think he's the second best talk show host ever. Johnny Carson was king, of course. Everybody still tries to be Johnny. But at a certain point Craig decided to be Craig. Like he said in this episode, it didn't always work, but it was always something. And Melissa Rauch is great. Big fan of her on TBBT. I haven't seen more than a clip or two of her on the new Night Court. I don't really watch TV any more and not excited about a recycle of that show, which was so great with Harry Anderson.
When Craig was doing his show, I was working, always in bed hours before his show, so I had no ideal who he was. After his show left the network I happen upon some of his show here on you tube. WOW, fell in love with it. Thankfully, a lot of the show highlights are on YT. He truly was one of the best of all late night talk talent.
Hello sir I've been a fan going back to the Days you were bossing Drew around on that great show you shine through thanks for the movie in Niagara Falls too best wishes to you and yours from Canada near the Falls 🍁☮👀
Mr Ferguson. I died when you stopped to be host. Pardon my horrible english. Now I and my 42 year old body live again! Great kisses and hugs from Zakopane, Poland!!!
Freaking Awesome interview! Why can't Talk shows be this simple instead of 2 minutes and commercial and 2 minutes and then the next one!? Brilliant conversations and stories. Loved the original Night Court. A classic episode is the one with the Coyote and Roadrunner!! Great Job! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎🎸🤟🏼
Modern TV really is ads that are briefly interrupted by content. That's not hyperbole. The ads are the important thing - the show around them exists to put eyeballs in front of the ads.
@CantankerousDave Actually didn't mind the commercials as much as the guest brief 4 minutes visit. Now that you mention there was way less ads than most UA-cam channels. Cool! 😎
The story there is that they worked on their respective shows at the same studio, near each other. They met there and, according to Graham, flirted a lot at lunch breaks and such, but they were always either with other people or too shy to ask each other out. So there’s always been a particular chemistry between them.
Aristotle had a daughter. As did Descartes. Rousseau disowned his 5 children and sent them to a foundling home. Which is some next level parenting! As for the rest. No children. In fact nearly all the childless ones remained unmarried. So good call from Craig on that. This may not be a funny comment but it as at least well researched.
As soon as I saw this channel I immediately SUBSCRIBED! I've been a fan of Craig Ferguson since he took over the Late Show. Craig Ferguson made Late Night Television fun again. He was a bit over the top but that's what made it so funny. He was genuine, not fake at all. The Late Night shows nowadays are complete 💩💩 compared to the Brilliantly written and done shows Craig did back then. Seeing that Craig is back on doing this was a great surprise! Thank you for this! WE MISS YOU CRAIG!! #BRINGCRAIGBACK
I agree, we all seem to miss Craig. His show, The Big Bang and Modern Family are the best shows on TV EVER. I haven't turned my TV on since, and that is no exaggeration. Plus the damned thing is broken!!
I think I might have seen a glimpse of that Night Court sequel/remake. Why I didn't pay attention to it remains a mystery....I'm binge watching it NOW 😅
This is so interesting-both of you. I really miss Late Night. Your show was so often pure improv, and it was hilarious. Also, it was intelligent-I mean, casual jokes about Kierkegaard? -made up on the spot? Come on! So much fun! I still watch the spots on UA-cam. And Melissa? She’s incredibly talented. Your podcast is a breath of fresh air.
Next to Carson, Ferguson has always been my favorite late night host / show. I miss it so much. There was a real dare I say punk rock vibe(?) .... it was irreverent in a way without being disrespectful. If that makes any sense.
I think she is adorable and such a good actress! I no longer consume mainstream media, so I’ll wait to catch her on UA-cam. Night Court was great back in the day, although I’m just not that interested in another remake. I do wish they would allow new creators to make new creations.

man, ive been wanting to read your book(s) since you published, hopefully i wont be so poor forever and actually get to read at least one (i think you have 2+)
The Craig Ferguson show interviews of Robin Williams is how I was able to morn the loss of the comedy icon. I can't believe my daughter will grow up in world without Betty White or Robin Williams.
Hey now...I had a "picture perfect childhood" but I could tell you some crazy stories! It is often those quiet, unassuming kids that have the most crazy stuff happening in their heads.
i really miss craigs late night show on CBS. he is the best talk show host out there. CBS really dropped the ball with ending his show. BRING HIM BACK CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX. WHOEVER. and i really miss jeff the gay robot. LOL. i really was not aware robots had a sex preference.
He looks relaxed to me. His shirt collar is unbuttoned. He's not wearing a jacket. He's a grown up, dressed like a grown up. Of course it's Craig we're talking about, so he may well not be wearing pants.
Hahhah "only interview people you like"... I recall a certain good looking middle aged blond that was NOT willing to play the game and it was painful hahahha
I think for a lot of people, comedy is a form of coping strategy. Something bad happened to you? Find the funny or absurd part of it. Suddenly the bad doesn't seem so bad...
I get that Craig fell out of love with Late Night.... but he's damn good at it. Even in these interviews he is attracting major stars and doing a bloody good job interviewing them. Craig - assuming you read this tosh.... OK, Taylor got "After Midnight", The Scooby Gang rule the other bits... Trump is about to shut down CBS... could you possibly do a weekly from... lets say Mexico or Canada? No nightly commitment, out of reach of Trump, within reach of any guests you want, once per week?
Craig Ferguson you are the best. When your show ended... it ended American late night and ended a chapter in American comedy. You are sorely missed. If I'm feeling down, I just watch one of your many videos on UA-cam. Thanks.

This is exactly what I would expect Craig to focus on at this point in time 🥰🥰🥰 didn't think I could love him more but here we are ❤
Would so love to see Craig on Night Court. I hope they follow up on that idea.
The new Night Court needs something. I can't believe they keep renewing it, it's not funny at all.
I saw you in Calgary in a small venue, many years ago. You crushed it, but what most impressed me was at the end you walked into the audience and chatted with everyone. You Rock buddy. A Canadian fan
The only person ever that stood toe-toe with Letterman! There is still a hole in late night comedy.
Craig Ferguson was the best talk show host day or night, and Melissa Rauch is one of the loveliest personalities on the planet. I envy both of them for getting to sit down and chat with the other. Truly enjoyed this.

A former Late Show guest!? This podcast is going places!
@@ArthuriusMorganaximus he's had several! Including DJ Qualls who is a personal fav 😍
"I can make things weird" with Melissa Rauch. I'd watch the hell out of that
I am so glad I found your Podcast, Mr. Ferguson! You are a true gem and I have missed your show.
SO THANKFUL TO HAVE FOUND OUT CRAIG IS STILL AT IT! One can only rewatch Jay Leno Fly clips so many times,,,,,

There should be podcasts here and there with a bit of Josh (or Geoff!) thrown in. And the guests shouldn't know he's there XD
Hahahhaha I absolutely love this idea

I remember seeing Melissa on VH1 Best Week Ever.
Do come to Croatia, pls... We would love you here❤🎉😢
Love her, Melissa Rauch, one of the good ones.
I hope they’ll have Lauren Graham on the show soon. Craig and Lauren were always so funny together!
I'm hoping for Kristen Bell tbh

So this is what Craig is up to. 10 years since his talk show went off the air. I still remember the final episode in 2014.
Her first appearance on the TLLS was Feb 2011!
AWESOME. Keep it up!

Night court and Craig that would be awesome 🎉 I can think of so many different ways to incorporate him into the show.😊
I was wondering where Craig went.
