This is the first video I have ever seen of yours and if this is your worst sketchbook I can’t imagine what is considered a good one. Anyway, subscribed now, your work is beautiful, even the that you hate, but I like.
I really love your sketchbook! The color, the subjects…it shows a willingness to try things to see what happens. I am trying hard to be that way with my art. I would be so proud if this were my sketchbook!
You could try getting a small cheap ( 3.5 x 5 inch ) sketch pad to try stuff in. For me it helped because it wasn't much lost if it didn't work out and also wasn't the pressure there to fill or make use of a bigger page. Also with spiral sketch pad you can just Rip out the pages if you really don't like them. Much love ❤️ 🙏
Yes, one thing I give myself credit for is that I'm pretty fearless with my sketchbook. I mean, what's the worst that could happen? Thanks for seeing this in me. :)
Yes, definitely! Although, I'd encourage sitting in the discomfort of an ugly page. I feel like talking about and showing the stuff I don't like is good for me.
The best part of having those not good journals is that you got those weird moments out on paper. Think of it as a cleansing sketchbook. Play with color and supplies to see how you can push them.
This is an amazing sketchbook!!! The only thing I could NOT do would be to jump around. 😂 but that’s not a critique on your sketchbook. This is so inspiring.
You can see how far youve come, if you dont have practice in your journals or sketches.😊 i found it interesting and enjoyed all the bold colours and strokes.😊
I recently completed a sketchbook where I feel the same way about my drawings. Mine can honestly be described as klunky and awkward but with some charm 😅 I honestly believe it’s because it was the first sketchbook I’ve completed since graduating from the arts, and really showed the lack of direction i was feeling in my work, but i persevered thru it haha. I loved the tour of this sketchbook! Can’t wait to see what you make next!
100% ! It's easy to feel disappointed when you don't feel like you have direction. Hope your practice is coming together post-grad. That was a really hard time for me, too...takes a while to adjust to a new life.
I dont use markers that much but thats inspiring idea to over lap the marker colors to see what new colors they create. Cant do that so much with prismacolor pencil, that i mostly work with , and ink though i love them . Thanks for sharing. Much love ❤️ 🙏
Such a wonderful sketchbook, experimentation is never a bad thing ☺☺
I couldn't agree more, @chantelleArts!
I LOVED your flipthrough, your commentary and seeing all your experimentation! It's neat to see your style evolve!

You're so sweet. Thank you!

True. Much love ❤️ 🙏
100%! Those weird things need to get out somehow!

haha, I know! I think I've become more orderly than I had been in the past, but it's hard for me to be so orderly. lol
