Actually sacred games was something new which we never expected and even it was a new experiment it was highly remarkable than what we expected. Although s02 didnt reached our expectations but still its not that bad.
Mirzapur was really important for amazon prime video. Prime video service has not received such response in any of the countries. Mirzapur was the sole reason prime video was able to attract audiences. Bezos also mentioned this in his amazon india event.
Not only Mirzapur, but Prime Video has better Indian content compared to Netflix, in addition to being much cheaper.

and unnecessarily violent but I really liked the storyline,performances and dialogues of this series. I don't consider this one of the best web series but it surely isn't overrated and much better than 4 more shots please (this series is nominated for Emmy Awards BTW instead of panchayat 🤦♂️). If u don't like this series then u don't have to watch it's second season🤷♂️.

And like how you told in the video, the second season would be more about character study in this season. What better series than, The Sopranos & The Wire.

Overall, Mirzapur season 2 Trailer is perfect.
Priyanshu Painyuli, who played the Bangladeshi drug lord in Extraction, is also included in the cast. But wasnt seen in the trailer. I am really interested to see how they are gonna use him.
Mirzapur is a great series as a whole, dialogues n screenplay is amazing .

I watched it recently after the hype created by amazon on just announcing the date of s2! So yes, marketing matters. I loved it b'coz of 3 reasons
1. The actors
2. The sweet romance between guddu n pinky, bablu n golu which is a refreshing break from the otherwise dark grim storyline (missing in Patallok although it was technically better written than mirzapur)
3. The emotional connect.. Guddu n his family are relatable. Guddu is not a pure evil like sacred games protagonist gaitonde. I found it easier to empathise with guddu bablu n even Katalin bhaiya (although he is evil) than with ganesh gaitonde & Co.

a huge company like amazon have reached the epitome of marketing genius and keeping the idea of mirzapur fresh in our heads and i totally feel that mirzapur s2 will live up to expectations. according to me , mirzapur 1 has been pacing up towards the building of season 2 which will be more of a fleshed out plot and what audiences will refresh upon.
I'm just here to rant... Seeing the numerous comments of people under recent movie trailers is really sad, they're only clicking the trailer to dislike and the logic behind their actions is pathetic... I just wish people focussed and appreciated good content inside of acting like fools and believing their contributing to a greater cause. I always wondered why Indian cinema came up with good content rarely but after this I realized majority of that audience aren't ready/worthy for it
Nobody is talking about lala's reavange in second season, afterall the trailer of second season was started with the kabristan only where lala was sitting and he was also shown twice in trailer, so we can even predict that, lala will also come forward for revange
I think lala will support guddu..you can see guddu wearing pathani kurta which means he will support them
There's also another charector (who's name I can't remember right now) who would seek a revenge & may join hands with Guddu. He's the father of the Groom (Dulha) who was killed by Munna in the very first episode of Mirzapur S1.

Finally true words have been spoken Like you I was too fan of Babloo's character more than Guddu bhaiya he was smart and forcefully dragged in the chaos without having any choice. But as soon as he died in 1st season my heart broke since the character I was rooting was killed off.
But more than Guddu bhaiya's character arc I want to see how Munna Bhaiya evolves as character since he has a lot of layers and performance and comic timing of Devanshu is flawless.
Still can't get over that scene where he says "seedhi to tab bhi lagti hongi"

It is undeniable that Anurag Kashyap created such a holistic world of gangster thrillers that any series,movie anything that is made as a gangster thriller in India are bound to give anyone the GOW vibe,but I find Mirzapur a hook because absolutely everyone in the series delivers stellar,and somehow the storyline has a melancholic sadness about it beyond all the guns,and blood and sex
. I believe the sky high hype about it coming back is largely due to the Red wedding finale.(totally personal pov)
Some years later, this marketing campaign will be taught in business schools if it succeeds

Trailer released on 6th October, which is my birthday and Season 2 is announced on 23rd October. These 2 dates have never been more significant before.
Eagerly waiting for 23rd October, I could watch 10 seasons of a show like Mirzapur as long as they maintain their class and standards.
I went crazy after watching the trailer of season 2 but eventually I thought that it might just suck and the hype it has earned, it might not live up to it
There are some subtle nuisances too. As guddu takes steroids to build his body he gets more aggressive and thus there is a radical change as he is out of control most of the times.
That's not subtle nuisance . That's like the most obvious thing .

Let's see, this is the most awaited 2nd season. Actually the first one I felt was an extension of GOW universe with more layered characters, but I think gone are the days of cuss words and forceful gory scenes, if this season manages to push the envelope then it will be worth watching.
I think this was a wannabe GOW with nothing new to offer. Performances were great but the story and arcs were just okay. Just my opinion.
Mirzapur is such a overrated and a poor copied of gangs of wasseypur with no plot.

I have myself been really excited about watching next episode while season 1 and now for season 2. But what surprised me was how well its been taken by southern part of the country as its based in UP.. We definitely can relate better with tone and way of speaking which matters alot.. But then I work onbard ship, I showed some of my philipino freinds too, they also were excited about Season 2 the moment they finished it.. So no surprise after that 😁

It is the mindset that determines whether to approve or disapprove. The creators provide a story. A story just to fascinate each every member of the audience. In the end it is the people who decide.

This show reminds me of Breaking Bad like when Walter White becomes a Kingpin from a High school teacher, Guddu and Bablu also get stuck in this mess. I loved all the characters, plus comparison with Sacred Games is only superficial.

Few examples are Don,Lakshya,Dil Chahta Hai,ZNMD,Dil Dhadkne Do,Mirzapur,KGF,Inside Edge,Made in Heaven,Fukrey,etc.
All of them targetting their desired audience has achieved what it meant for.
Again Karan Anshuman, creater of Inside Edge (1&2), Mirzapur.... everything was awesome.

It is popularized more by memes . I know it will be hated but I think mirzapur is overrated ,story is weak and generic but because of boldness ,slurs and unnecessary violence that is missing and censored in mainstream cinema it got so hyped .I agree bablu was a shining and loveable chracter

To be honest it's an ok series when I first saw it. It's good but in my opinion nothing to be really that hyped about. It's the marketing team who did such a phenomenal job of creating hype.
I absolutely love this show.. #Mirzapur... It is indeed Gold. The characters.. Epic dialogs... The final twist.. Mera to dimag hi phat gya tha.
BUT ONE IMPORTANT THING I FEEL IS..
The "Gangster" and "Criminal" characters which are celebrated here (and also in many other shows n movies like this) and the ways there violent criminal acts and shown in a "cool, bad-ass and even Heroic way", which are done for personal ambitious and greedy goals, are going to validate and motivate people who have such tendencies in them, AND who look-up to such characters (shown in the show). Which may even result in, "increasing the probability of such people choosing to actually do such violent crimes more easily and frequently".
