- I tried making remake to wood clock based on Akizuki electronic watch kit.
The size is about 11 cm × 6 cm. I think that it is a good size when placed on a desk etc. because it is compact.
Even if the room is bright, letters are visible so visibility is good.
【How to make】
1. Assemble the clock kit
2. Connect (modify) the display part and the body part with a conductor
3. Make a box with MDF
4. I will paste the sheet of wood and finish it

I made one of these way back. This one has got better electronic parts in it though.
How to set the time? Where are the control buttons?
There are 4 colored buttons on the PCB. Those are probably the controls.
Guess he will be plugging that at 12 am 🤣🤣
Just a concept, you can make place for the buttons at back using small pc board
Does it have alarm feature?

I got a bit OCD over two things: leaving the two amber LEDs in place instead of reusing the two red LEDs that were taken off, and soldering the leads from the top side.
秒コロン、LED変更した方が良いと思う。もっと低照度で7セグのコロンと同じ大きさぐらいのが良いですね。東芝製など探せばありますので、お勧めします。現状だと色味も明るさも違和感が… 大きなお世話ですね(^^♪
よかです。オーディオ機器とかも木製化したらよさそうですよね。

皮膚が丈夫なんで、少しぐらいの擦り傷ならすぐに治るんですよ。

I bought one just like it in China, all put together working. Cost ---- $4.50.

Use a soldering iron that can adjust the temperature.
Use lead - containing solder.
Cleaning the tip of the soldering iron cleanly.
I think that it will be successful with these three points.

はんだ吸い取り線はフラックスつけて押し付けたらやりやすいですよ

Instead of veener if you use red Plexiglas it would have been much more brighter than it is now.
Still liked the build.
But, the color of the LEDs is red, so very little would appear.

なぜ一度黒に塗装したのですか？
塗装した方がシールの付きが良いとか？
7セグメントLEDが黒いので0.3ミリの厚さの板ではおそらく透けて見えてしまう。それをカムフラージュするためだと思われます。

セグメントLEDの黒色が透けるからです。
