I rode mu 450x on a longer and even steeper mountain and rode it fast and took corners more harder than bikes on same trail. Thought 47km total ride took 705 of my battery it was fun. Plus all ola scooters with me overheated at some point. But mine didn't even flinch.

BRO i know it's too late to put up this comment but hoping that you will reply me back I really need your help on this one I'm planning to buy ather 450x gen 3 my daily commute to college is 25kms so 50 kms per day and there are no service centres near my college There's one near my home that's all! Should i really get ather or go for a petrol bike? The belt issues on this gen is concerning
Hey Brother ! I personally have never faced any belt issue myself and haven't really seen this issue as a widespread huge problem. The only thing is the sound can get louder which you can reduce by cleaning and stuff.. Every EV has it's own issues, but Ather, as far as I know has very less issues in spite of being out there in market for last 5-6 years, in comparison to Ola and others which have consistently huge problems with battery and structure. Ather is fairly reliable bike in that sense. Having said that, since you are a college student, you are gonna work after 3-4 years of college and initial few years of job requires you to kinda travel to office to learn and gain experience. So, will 105 kms range be sufficient for that ? Practically yes, it should be, I feel. But, just think through this as well, coz this is a long term investment. If you are comfortable with the 105 km range, and if 1.6 lakh price point is also fine, I'm sure you'd love the bike. My bike has just 85 km true range and pretty much serves the need and Gen 3 with 105 kms, you are pretty much covered. Just keeping things simple, if you're in love with Ather since the test ride, if your distance commute is within 105 km and it's gonna serve you for next 10 years of commute... you can consider it ! Hey brother ! I personally use Ather and its quite reliable. But, at this moment I really can't pick anyone from these 2 scooters because they both give really good range around 110 kms. Except Vida has a few extra features. Not sure if it's good for long term at this moment.

Around 90 kms is what Ather claims in Eco mode.
