REACH Ambler: Sharon Cooke Vargas - Lindenwold

  • Sharon Cooke Vargas grew up in West Ambler and recalls how Ambler's history was not taught in school, and she had only vague notions of the man behind Lindenwold and other buildings in town. Vargas continues to be involved in her home community, most recently serving as a research assistant for the REACH Ambler project. She is also a member of the BoRit Community Advisory Group.

    It's absolutely sad what happened with this land. I remember this place when I was a kid, I didn't know about the development going up - around the castle. I saw the story on 6ABC ("The start of six to eight weeks of blasting of the grounds..") Nothing is sacred!
