Thanks for making this. New street scrambler owner here and it’s not super easy to find tutorials for it. Also, I laughed too hard when you said “up the bike’s butt”
@@x-man5056 I'll expand .... The front seat pulls off past the rear pad without a problem despite them being close to one another. I owned an identical bike for 3 years and did it hundreds of times.
It's an "Allen bolt or screw". An "Allen Key" is the tool you remove or install Allen head fasteners with. I have a 2022 SS. Take the short seat screw to Home Depot and by one an inch longer. You'll still need your Allen key/wrench to take it loose but won't have to fight the seat all the way. It is a less than clever design. if you buy a screw that's long enough to stick out an inch or so, you can braze or solder a dime size tab to the screw head to take it of with out the tool that will inevitably scratch that small piece of bodywork below the seat pad.
It's one thing you need to know that is actually in the owners manual. Triumph seems to rely on UA-cam for other important information. It should be a crime the way Triumph holds all maintenance information so close to the vest. The dealer thinks this gives them cause to hold you hostage if you want to adjust your clutch.
As you stated in the video the screw can easily get lost...didnt get one with my used Triumph. Anyone know the sparepart number or what dimension I need to get. Please?
Awesome man! There is a few tutorials about street scrambler. I just bought one (2017) and super excited to share some information too. I'm gonna upload some videos on my channel soon (Hobby Life). Thanks man!! Cheers!
