My dishwasher doesn't do a very good job of washing my dishes either but I heard adding a splash of vinegar to inside the dishwasher helps & now I always do that! It makes a huge difference
Try using cascade platinum for the dishwasher, cleans everything perfectly. The same thing happen to me with the dishwasher and since I changed de pods everything is better.
When you were doing the dishes I thought the steam was coming from the sink faucet. Took me a minute to realize it was the diffuser in the back... LOL!

People should understand that a dishwasher sanitizes dishes more so than washes them. I actually prepare soapy dish water in the sink and wash my dishes (not a real clean wash) before loading the dishwasher.

I wash my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher too. I am shocked that people actually put dishes in there with the food still caked on. Is that seriously a thing!? Gag!
