"I wrote Generations on top of a roof, in the middle of the night, gazing at a beautiful Kansas sky. My friend read the scripture in Genesis about God’s covenant with Abram, and it inspired me. If you’re like me, I desire family. A BIG one. It simply blew my mind to hear God’s promise to Abram, and it was even harder to fathom as I stared into the infinite amount of stars in the sky above me. Not only does God promise the BLESSING of family, I believe he’s calling for the REDEMPTION of each family. I see families returning to his presence, and receiving the full and complete blessing of his favor and pleasure. Sometimes all we need is a reminder that we truly are apart of that promise today, and we can lean on the scripture to declare and claim what our awesome dad promises. My heart is touched so much hearing this song. My spirit is connected to this song as I have been praying really hard to my marriage. I just stepped into university life, looking people getting into relationships, but I know my desire is more this. I want a blessed relationship, a Godly relationship to serve Him. I do not to exercise my own lust but devote my marriage, my future family and the generations to God. I bursted into tears when I heard the verse from Song of Songs, it was so beautiful. Such a beautiful rendition of The Blessing. I have a beautiful friend with 5 wonderful children. She is currently in the process of getting a Restraining order against her Ex Husband. It’s a terrible situation and I won’t go into details out of respect for her, but she definitely could use all the prayers and thoughts. After hearing this song last night when I was going to sleep I saved it on my playlist and have been listening to over and over just praying for her and myself along with my family and friends.
