I had the utmost luck of working at The City Center while in college and saw Ms. Jamison dance Cry and Revelations multiple times even if I wasn’t getting paid. The memories are so powerful!!!!She was stunning, beautiful, and phenomenal!!!
This was a beautiful interview. It was great to hear her talk about Donna Wood! Donna was the first person I saw performed the work. It was on video of course and Judith introduced her. I fell in love with this piece then and was captivated by every step! I prayed to one day see footage of Ms. Jamison performing the work and to see that happen this week was a dream come true. It was exquisite and moved my spirit to a place of jubilation. Thank you Hope for a great interview and Ms. Jamison for being the amazing being that you are. Your passion for dance and carrier of Mr. Ailey’s vision is beyond this world.
