Everyone goes into these movies thinking “this is pretty popular and it’ll be a fun little movie” then they watch all three movies and all cry at least twice.
The moves Hiccup was prompting Toothless to do to impress the Light Fury were mostly taken from real moves done by male birds-of-paradise. There are clips around from National Geographic and BBC documentaries showing some of these.
The part that gets me in particular is when Hiccup is talking about "there were dragons when I was a boy". That quote, and a few more sentences after it, are taken directly from the first how to train your dragon book, which (very loosely) inspired this series. The books and films have nearly nothing in common other than a few character names and those lines, but it always makes me sentimental. Kinda feels like that was where it all started and now it's grown into a film series that so many people love.
I’m so glad it got you in the end, I saw this one at the cinema in a special showing a month before it came out with like 40 people and EVERYONE was crying at the end, you could hear everyone sobbing😅 I’m with about the second one being better but the ending on this one is a masterpiece. There is short movie you should watch that takes places after the wedding but before the reunion it’s really good and only like 30 minutes it’s called HTTYD Homecoming ❤❤
They did do a like Christmas special, and it was kinda cool since it explained why Hiccup decided to bring the kids to meet Toothless. I recommend watching it too!
I agree with your ranking 100%. The ending is a perfect ending but overall the weakest of the trilogy. By no means was it bad though. I really liked how they paralleled Hiccup and Astrid’s relationship with Toothless and the Light Fury. I am glad that there are no plans for a future animated film because it really did end perfectly. I’m excited but also nervous for the live action remake. It is directed by the same director which is a plus at least.
the cast is just more force inclusion :/ they made fishlegs indian, and astrid latina. also the twins look nothing alike, and the female twin looks nothing like the actual ruffnut. and astrid's actor looks nothing like actual astrid. all signs are pointing to this being an average movie at most
@@hichewies I always find it in poor taste to judge a movie for shallow reasons. It's also in poor taste to force inclusion. But as an artist I find that invalidating to other efforts of the production of the movie.
You should check out the Christmas special of HTTYD, it takes place before the epilogue and shows how Hiccup knew it was time to look for Toothless again
How To Train Your Dragon is one of my favorite movie franchises, regardless of genre, animated or not. Also, I couldn't help but notice that your dog never grew into his ears 😁He is cute though.
I love all 3 movies to bits and these reactions do it justice. My main issue with this movie is how dumb they portraid the other riders besiders hiccup and astrid. Especially ruffnut. In the race to the edge series(on netflix) she is so smart and cautious when needed but in the movie they do her so dirty. If you want more httyd content i definitely reccomend watching the race to the edge tv series, its fantasic and does so much more with the characters
It makes perfect sense, you really summed up the trilogy. Agree that this should be the end, just leave it perfect as it is. Thanks for doing these, they were great. Cute dog pictures, but you never told us what he thinks!!! 😆
30:15 Me, I am the person who ships them XD I think they have a nice emotional bond, I'm not sure if they'd go further than that. Love comes in a lot of different forms. Also you're the first reactor I've seen mention them. Especially mention shipping them, I feel like I am an outlier here. Even though the movie is filled with tiny moment between them not many people mention them at all.
loved your reactions amongst this series, they actually are making a fourth as a live action that’s set to release summer of 2025, but no one knows yet if it’s going to be a continuation or a remake of the first
@@AdemDjeghaima-x1t I know I'm not looking forward to it the only thing good thats coming from it is the stoick voice actor is playing stoick in the movie everything else is wrong
And I'm very scared. And sad for animation as a whole. It's as if the higher ups in the industry think: Adults can only enjoy these stories if we make them live action :(

'With love comes loss son. Its part of the deal. Sometimes in the end its all so worth it. There is no greater gift than love....'

I noticed each movie shows who hicup could have been if he took a different path

4:14 They didn’t actually get together until they were 18, so they’ve only been together for 3 years. You should also watch race to the edge
No they were dating but I think it was the betrothal episode your thinking of.

It was revealed by a producer of Rider/Defenders of Berk that Hiccup and Astrid were dating at that time.
I loved your reactions, you are the only one I saw notice that Drago’s alpha dragon was in the hidden world alongside other details.

32:28 the fact you used Jonsis Outro Song for that gave me such an wholesome smile and feeling!
he needs to collect all of the helmets in this movie at this point
They are in the making of a live action of the first film
Obvs I haven’t finished the reaction but I’m so glad you finished this series! ❤❤❤ keep it up, I love your reactions!
