Car is not running as healthy as the Version R
People can say anything they want about the FTO, but they can't deny how insane it sounds.
Modern day super cars or high HP euros and event he almighty GTR35 will struggle to keep up with it around the touge
Bought a fto GPX 4 cylinder in Guam excited to eventually get it back to the states and save it from that island haha

That is a good dream! You will have to import one from a country that sold them as they never did in America.
I would start looking in New Zealand or Japan.
You need about $18k in the us first
Japanese auction for a used GPX is between 2000 and 4000 USD right now. Get on it before they go sky high.

That GPX was my first car I owned a put the bbs alloys, muffler and headers on it.

@@paologarcia8541 I sold it to some girl and a week or so later she told me the cambelt went and blew the motor not sure how many owners have had it since then. I'm pretty sure it was you had a look my car when I was selling it back in 2016 you had just bought your version r from memory.
How does this driving experience compare to your GTO
Hey SGT,
Both are similar but different cars. Both 100% capable track cars like the EVO.
The FTO is more of a corner attack machine, it is only 1,150 kgs so it's very good at dive-bombing into corners and very tight maneuvers.
The GTO on the other hand is an all-out G-Force pulling machine with sheer stability, grip and torque. Despite my old 1997 SR (Non-Turbo Model) being 570 Kgs heavier than my FTO, it performed the same around this track.

The real reason why I’m asking is..
I’m building a track car ( colt/mirage cj0 1999)
So I have 3 options that could work with this model.
6a12 mivec but I’m a bit worried that the colt will be a bit nose heavy in the front
4g15t from colt czt
Or don’t kill me yet.

I've not put it in a dyno. The cross over is fine, there's a bit of a kick

does an fto require a lot of maintenance? What are the major problems with this car? Bc I found some at rather interesting prices
No they don't. They're ultra reliable. We have seen plenty of cars owned by non FTO enthusiasts with 400,000km and over on original engine and transmission and they're still running strong even when neglected.
All you have to do is change the oils, filters, and replace parts as they break.

Heya,
GP Version R is the highest performance, track/race oriented FTO made and very limited in numbers. If you want the absolute best performing FTO and rarity go for the GPvR.
GPX has a less aggressive suspension set-up, climate control, traction control etc to make it more a comfy touring sports car.
They both have 200hp. R version upgrade suspention, and lower in weighr. No a/c etc.
