Thanks for this and for sharing info about how long a house is meant to last. I was surprised to hear you cite one builder's intentions of only 50 years! Good to know so as not to waste money on really old houses.
Jamel, thanks for reviewing the 7 things to look for when purchasing a property. Failure to inspect any of those could blow your budget and your anticipated profit. Keep sharing the knowledge and dropping those nuggets.
Let me add… please do not let someone like a realtor run you through a property just so they can get an offer. Please remember to take your time and make sure you are getting home inspection from a certified inspector and go through inspection reports thoroughly.
To elaborate on what this gentleman is saying in the video you should be calling a local contractor that specializes in foundation/ structural repairs to come inspect the house BEFORE you buy it or make any offer. Some will do this for free, others will charge $100-$200. Home inspection companies charging you $500+ will not go under a house to inspect structural beams/ piers/ footers and often do not have the necessary experience to spot/ properly diagnose foundations/ structural issues.
Hi I am Rahul Jain on H1B visa and I am doing research on getting into this business of flipping a house. Is it possible and how can I start and understand more about this business before I can fix my mind.
