You’re totally right. They have a very close cooperation. LOT are just now implementing Lufthansas System’s solution Net Line/Ops. Another thing that shows the closeness is that LOTs Frequent Traveller program is M&M. But as you point out LOT is NOT a part of the LH Group.

Very good review. However, some points: LOT is not a part of LH Group. It’s independent, government-owned airline. Elite Lounge is part of Business Lpunge, only available to Star Alliance Gold members, not all Business Class passengers. It’s one of the nicest lounges in Europe ( and by far best compared to US-lounges). Catering and wine selection is AMAZING. LOT also owns another lounge, after passport control.
LOT service, especially in Business Class always been great, on longhauls is much better than LH or LX.
And it’s kind of strange to review IFE on European flights, since almost no airlines offer anything, flying narrow bodies and small regional jets. Like few other airlines, on its 737s LOT has IFE streaming to your own device, but not available on Embraers.

Didn’t know about the lounge. I’ve visited 3 times. All as Star A gold and C ticket. That’s why I thought you needed business class ticket. Thanks for the input!

Very nicely reviewed, I enjoyed very much. The dumplings looked interesting. LOT seems to have improved their long haul product as well. I flew LOT from New Delhi to Warsaw and back on their B787s first in 2019 and then twice in 2022. Their food and service keeps getting better. I travel with family and I like that Warsaw airport has so much to offer for kids. They have excellent play areas all over the airport.

I would say that as long intra Europe it’s pretty equal. I guess it depends on cargo demand.
