My headcanon is that the team is exhausted from the tight fixtures and from essentially over performing when quite a few of them were injured.

Everything went downhill once players came back fit and we took the youngsters out the team.JK should bring them all back in clark,McConnell,danns etc obviously bradley injured. We need there're spirit and heart bk in the team.

deflated performance. no spark. just going through the motions. West Ham were average and so were we. Salah throwing his teddy out the pram on the touchline pretty much sums up his attitude of late. A few minutes before that he was having a laugh with Moyes. Renewing his contract and paying him way more than our other senior players contradicted the supposed pay structure at the club. We lost players like Gini and Sadio because they kept to that pay structure when their contracts ran out. The last few weeks is a repeat of last season. Hate seeing this for Jurgen’s last season but change is sometimes for the best.
The Moyes moment bothered me more than the argument
He probably didn't wanna play Salah at all today but Mo moaned about it so he let him then said something like: "Now, show me something. Not this exhibition preseason friendlies crap football you've been doing since u renewed your contract.."

When it was 2-1 four LFC players were standing 2 meters away from a WH player who has the ball in our half, just looking at him and not even trying to get it! A couple of passes later 2-2. And what was Salah's terrible pass all about at the end? Just bring all the kids back, they have more fight.

I’m not exactly sure why anyone is surprised. Since it became obvious the we wouldn’t win the EPL, and couldn’t be caught for third, then everyone has basically turned off; why risk serious injury when there’s nothing to play for..?
The only game I see us winning is Wolves and that will probably be a scrappy win. Villa will be a defeat or draw, Spurs will be a draw and thats it. We are lucky Spurs have Arsenal and City, it means they can't catch us, just about anyway. Crap end to a great era.

Fairs Chloe, agree with everything. My opinion atm.. Klopp's tactics and training are so physically demanding most players are running on fumes at this point. Once we dropped the ball a few weeks back the title race was over.. adrenaline needs a reason. For me, I'm looking forwards now.. sell Salah for as much as we can get, keep most of the rest and give whoever comes next (Slot?) a lot of patience and love

It started in the tunnel on the walk out ... West Ham smiles and shoulders back heads high .. Liverpool trudged out aimless eyes down looking whipped before the start .. Then it carried on for some time . Just watch the walk out you will see what I mean

As a neutral all I can say is that 1.Losing a manager like Klopp can take 10 years to replace, it must affect the players.2. FSG buy one top player a year when they needed two.
3.now the squad is too big especially in midfield and no player wants to sit on the bench

Hi Chloe. Pity we didn't play The Bitters when we should have actually played them instead of the rearrange date, they caught us on a mentally down time after the FA cup exit. BUT really mentality should not over spill into professionalism.. Istanbul being a prime example of how to overcome mentality ... Thing is we were sucked into thinking we were gonna win the league (self included) with 7 games to go. On the bright side though Jurgen has left us with silverware a great winning final against Chelsea & 3rd in the league imagine the Bitters doing that be like a jackpot to them from the booing , throwing their shirts back at the their players , hounding their players as they're driving their cars & ripping their season tickets up on camera No wonder poor Anthony Gordon got away... We are liverpool SIX times champions of Europe & been Champions of the World. The players picked for this game left a lot to be desired. The Lazy duckers were TAA VVD, ELLIOTT, QUANSAH, GRAVENBERCH, GAPKO. The players who put in a shift worked hard were Macca, Endo, Diaz, Robbo, Alisson,. 5 of the lazy duckers should have been replaced at half time.I would have even made changes after 20 mins and took off TAA, VVD Elliott, they were that bad
I’m very gutted about this draw. I don’t know why this is coming to my head; I’ve been suspecting the boys of late on them playing possum and it seems Klopp is already noticing that too IMO

The feel of disappointment is impacting the dressing room. Big personalities should step up and block negative energy and pin-pointing from spreading. Jurgen is out of energy, and that cascaded down to the players. We have to accept it
At this rate we might not get 4th place and champions league. Their heads have all gone and Klopp really looks like he’s had enough and given up. It’s a sad end to Klopps amazing job at Liverpool
🤔 I thought we played well. It was definitely better than Wednesday. The only problem was we wouldn't shoot and weren't clinical when we had clear cut chances. I've always wondered why we always like to blast the ball. Perhaps they should try hitting the ball low across the grass. We just don't score enough of those goals.

Unforgivable the way this squad is closing an important and often beautiful chapter in this clubs history, no matter what happens next season, don't think I could forgive this squad for the way they are acting on the pith in the most crucial period of the season. Absolutely shameful performances upon shameful performances. Mo Salah has to go, utterly unprofessional behavior on and off the pitch. The last thing about this seasons, if I were a rival fan, no matter how big of a rival, I would pity us, feel kind of embarrassed. The way this club has collpased since the the fa cup exit to UTD should be studied very carefully by other teams so that they won't repeat it.

If i were klopp, i would have sent Mo back to the bench, and thats where his season would have ended. Edwards and Co will have a dim view on this behaviour.
Fantastic to see the Klopp red carpet parade has fallen so so flat. Alexander Arnold wanted all 4. Haha not happening lad. Other teams actually realised they don’t have to lie down for the scousers. Klopp announcing he was leaving early in the season is the best mistake he made.

The performance of these players has been unacceptable at this point in the season . It has highlighted the distinction between the men and the boys in the Premier League . No respect shown for Klopp . Some heads will definitely have to roll when Slot gets into the groove .

Its a mixture of things but unfortunately it feels like Klopp should've handled his departure announcement to the players better! Klopp and Salah arguing unfortunately feels like glad they're not here next season. I am greatful for their time here but its just like the end of a product life cycle where there is no new peak and its either discontinue or continue declining!

The club knew back last November. They should have had a replacement ready back in January/ February. When Klopp, went public.

Hiya Chloe, in a nut shell now the players are just 'spent' after that gifted FA Cup exit, that's what's done it... BUT! It shouldn't be the case, the title was still in our hands. Man City went out of the CL but immediately got right back into the groove .. We have won silverware this season ,we have to just stay focused & accept 3rd spot for CL footy nxt season. Some teams would be 'Made up' with that, those around the bottom end of the table ( mentioning no names ha!). YNWA.

It's as if the players have either consciously or subconsciously decided to save their ambitions and achievements for the next manager. A really flat end to the season when a big push was needed. The defence went to bits, the goals dried up. Salah has a record of poor ends to his seasons. Is it CONCACAF related? Ramadan? Both? Neither? Nunez has talent but clearly isn't an out and out striker so will he be suitable for our set-up moving forward?
It's a pity for Klopp and the fans that it has to end this way but there was no one better positioned to make sure it didn't end this way than Klopp himself. Said it before, I'll say it again - I'm flummoxed by it all.
The only way we might have won that game was if paqueta had been sent off as he deserved to be for the foul on macallister but he didnt even get a yellow card. Felt it was going to be another bad day after that.
the most disappointed i've ever been with a Klopp Liverpool team over the last few weeks. Like we're playing in cement. No energy. Very little fight. Felt like a pre-season friendly. Not the way to send off Klopp.

How long have you been watching football? We've had a hundred performances like this over the years and will have many more in the future. Too many of our fans think they are entitled to perfection and trophies. Well unless we cheat like man city it's never going to happen.
I go to games to meet up with my mates, have a day out, a drink and cheer the team on.
If i criticise them it's only to my mates after the game. I can't see the point in doing it to thousands of people online, unless you're trying to make a career out if it, which you probably are!

The narrative seems to be LFC were just not good enough this year. I call BS 💩on that. LFC are more than good enough, they've just blown💣it for reasons that will come out in due course.
Should LFC be losing to 14th place Crystal Palace at home? Should LFC be losing away to relegation battlers Everton? Should LFC draw against West Ham who got stuffed by Crystal Palace a week earlier 🤷♀... of course they should not, the squad and team are more than good enough to blitz 🔫 these teams home or away.
Those 3 results have cost 8 very achievable points, if LFC had those 8 points they'd be top of the PL with 3 games to play.
I don't believe this LFC team were not good enough to win the PL this season, they were good enough to be top with 6 games to go they should have been good enough with 3 games to go.. a massive drop off has happened in the last 4 weeks and I think the likely reasons lie with Klopp, something is going on which does not add up , from the day he declared his departure to today..
I watched an interview where Klopp was asked about a player for next season, and he flippantly replied something along the lines 'do you want me to take him on holiday 🏖, I'm retiring' 👴, that gave away some insight into his mindset, he couldn't care what happens after he leaves, for whatever reason, maybe he is disgruntled 😠, maybe he didn't want to leave 👈, maybe he wanted more money 💰and was disappointed. Remember LFC finished 5th last season with no trophies, so Klopp wasn't in a strong negotiating position 🤑going into the 2023/24 season.
I don't doubt Klopp wanted to win the PL, but that 'I'll be gone' attitude has come back to bite him, either because he unconsciously lifted his foot of the accelerator 🏎a little and/or the players sensed it and they lifted off their effort levels a little also.
Also worth noting its not just Klopp leaving end of the season, his two main guys who have been there with him 9 years are also going, there are others on their way out too including academy coaches, so it's all very well with the sentimental 'Last Dance' 💃business, but when your key staff is looking for new work, winding down current roles, looking at potentially moving city even country and families 👨👩👦👦to think about, just how focussed can you be on the football? Players need 💯committed backroom staff.
It only takes a 1-2% drop in performance levels for wins to become draws to become losses. April 2024 has been probably the most disastrous 🌊month for LFC in terms of letting a title challenge slip since 2014.

It was a weak team with a lucky draw. If he didn't have that goal, he would have lost it. Keep it up
