Has been a great weekend again and the location was awesome! Have planned to record my pickup and footage video coming friday so it will be released this weekend. 😊
I couldn't believe it when Thomaniac told me about that flight stick. But sometimes you still get lucky and get a great deal. A lot of things have become really expensive over the last couple of years
You guys are soo blessed to have these retro fairs near you..we have nothing like that here in New Zealand..closest thing is an auction site here called Trademe, full of overpriced stuff..great pickups and video..enjoy your lunch:)
My location is particularly great because I can visit those events in Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium. Three different countries and each has its own destinct market. That gives me a much greater variety of systems to buy. There was a guy on that Retrobeurs who had several PC-Engines with the matching CD drive for a decent price. But sadly still too expensive for me. I guess in NZ there are just too few people interested in vintage games. Do you have flea markets or car boot sales over there? That may be a reasonable source.
Hallo Schattennase.
I don't think there is any joystick for any console that has the stick on the right side which is the right side ;-) But also all Arcade machines have the stick on the left so I assume they copied it from there.
@@Theshadowsnose I once heard a rumor that arcade games started putting the joystick on the left in order to make games harder for right handed players, so that they would lose quicker and spend more money. I don't know if it's true.
@@jasonlee7816 I call BS. The majority of people in the world are right-handed. It is awkward for a right-handed player to use a joystick with their left hand. Want proof? Get an ambidextrous joystick that can be used equally well with either hand, and give it to a right-handed gamer. The overwhelming majority of them will instinctively grasp the joystick handle with their right hand. Only a slim minority of them will want to hold it with their left hand. And if you hand it to a right-handed, non-gamer, I guarantee you that 100% of them will grab the stick with their right hand. No right-handed person uses a joystick with their left hand by choice.
I found out that I can actually fire faster with the right hand. So mayve it makes sense for shmups without auto fire. I am lucky that I am partially ambidextrous. So controlling the stick with the 'wrong' hand doesn't hinder me too much, but I still prefer having the stick on the right, tbh. Maybe I build one myself some day. If i keep it symmetrical I can make it switchable so I can compare what is actually better (for me)
You know its a good weekend ahead when you have Shadowsnose and Thomaniac videos queued up in your UA-cam playlist. Very very nice.
It's always a great weekend when you go to a retro gaming event with a good friend and have some tasty food afterwards :-)

Can't wait!
That’s a score dood!

Fighter stick 5:05 was a super cool buy, normally they ask crazy prices for it 😅
If you look good you can still find cool bargains 😄
You could have gotten the same deal. They had at least one more fir 10 euro

@@Theshadowsnose Garage sales yes but usually just clothes etc..flea markets mostly dvds etc
This is a pretty good fighting stick, I grew up playing it on the Genesis. It was great for Primal Rage especially
That's good news, because now I have 2 of them.
Don't think I have even tested the other one.

Vielen Dank!!!
Du weisst hoffentlich, dass das nicht nötig ist!
Das kommt in die Spardose für den RetroTink.

Do you also come to the next retro game fairs in Hengelo and Joure in the Netherlands? Then perhaps I'll see you there 👋
Hengelo is on our list. 😁🕹
Hengelo yes, Joure probably not.
You might be able to mod the buttons + stick for the fighting stick.
You mean swap the stick and the buttons with arcade parts?
That probably won't work. The Housing of the stick is too shallow
Nice joystick. Too bad the stick is on the wrong side. :)
