- I'm sure I can't be the only one who finds it more than a little irritating when someone has a picture on their phone 'somewhere', which they want to show you and their entire collection of pictures goes whizzing by on the screen which they are holding practically in your face!

Oh boy Paul, this rant resonates with me. My heart sinks when someone gets their phone out to show me something that I am really not interested in, like their holiday snaps, or their dog or grandkids! You made me smile today, thank you! (Oh and I really enjoy your serious restoration videos, keep them coming)
And the numerous pictures of grandkids- frequently the most clever kids in the world!
In the 1980's l worked with a fella who was a lorry enthusiast, for his holiday he would go to Dover and photograph lorries coming from the ferry. He would bring albums of photos into work and give a running description, that was tedious. All the best.

I remember the world when there was only the mail and the telephone, not even a fax machine. Then the whole world worked much more smoothly than nowadays.
Those mobiles were invented as a movement therapy for the fingers. They should instead play the piano or operate a lathe or another machine tool all day. Or better still fiddling the rollers in between the clutch housing and the hub of an old Bonnie.

I hate the bloody phone full stop.
I keep all my motorcycle photos in their own folder, so they're easy to find. Those are the only pics I ever show to anyone.
Perhaps you’re too young to remember an evening projector slide show that a relative, proud of his photography of his boring vacation, would share. I remember the feeling quite well.😅
Dear Millennials: Put your phone down, take your fucking earbuds out, and show the common respect to look someone in the eyes when you talk to them. NOTE* The internet is NOT REAL LIFE!!! Perhaps you could get one?
Or, go home put your phone on the desk and ride the bloody thing back ……. even if it does get dirty! 😮

Aye, another pitfall of the mobile age. I've got an old PC with a large screen and for good reason, deteriorating vision. I hate looking at anything on mobiles, it's all too small. And then there's instructions which might as well be in Chinese...

You are certainly not the only one! Invariably, by the time they hold up the picture, the screen has moved to something else or turned the other way around.

I get peed off every time I go to fill my bike up the I had a gold star type pratt I must show you and after 5 minutes you get black and white picture of a B31 and you don't no what to say oogod

Allowe me to ask something different.
Lately I changed the front sprocket on my '72 Bonnie. When the primary chain was reinstalled again I notice something rather disturbing. I could move the clutch forwards and backwarts a wee bit with a screwdriver and the tension of the rear chain changed very slightly. Is it because the clutch shaft cranks out a lot and is that movement countered by the two chains acting against each other during operation?
If your rear chain tesion changed while you did that, it is possibly the gearbox bearing getting worn.

I've had this situation done to me and I've done it myself to others. My opinion is that if someone wants to share a part of their life it's quite an honour to be included in that. Also a picture paints a thousand words.
By the time they have found the picture I have lost interest… The other thing that makes me laugh is they paint such the picture of this awesome machine that anyone would drawl over and when the picture pops up it’s, “Oh yeah, yeah that’s good… in reality a disappointment and 15 minutes I won’t get back!!!! 😂
