The truth is..you either obey Jesus Christ or you don't...That's the truth...You can put that into any doctrine you want to...But you can only do one of two things..You can Either obey Jesus Christ..or don't obey him...And whatever that means to you ..Take it up with God ..But if you live your life of Disobedience...Jesus says you don't love him...It's not my words..It's Jesus words..

hey timothy are putting the meaning of life down to this?

    • @garyg7549

I have two questions for you Timothy if I may. What do you mean by obeying Jesus, and #2, what is the result of obeying Jesus? Thank you very much.

    • @thefirerises436
      @thefirerises436 Рік тому

@@garyg7549#1). Living a life in obedience to the lord means living a life where you have been brought to a point (only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit) where your truly sorrowful over your sin, you repent and start living following the will of the Father. That doesn’t mean we become perfect but the God is doing a tremendous work in our lives transforming us into the image of Christ, this is known as the doctrine of sanctification. #2) the result is eternal life in heaven and in the presence of the Almighty creator of everything

The Three Heresies Found in the New Testament
The Judaizers Requiring Gentiles to be Circumciszed (Acts 15)
Justification by Faith Alone (James 1 and 2)
The Early Heresy of Gnosticism/Dualism (1 John 1:1-2)

Hello, thank you for your comment and thank you for the opportunity to reply.
I'll just tackle one of your "heresies" if I may... Justification by faith alone.
So how would you interpret verses in the Bible such as Ephesians chapter 2: 8 and 9, or Titus 3: 1- 5?
I would include maybe two more.., John 3:36 and Romans 6:23. Essentially all four sections of scripture I'm pointing out Proclaim salvation through grace alone.
Do you not agree with that doctrine? Thank you.

    • @garyg7549
      @garyg7549 2 роки тому

Okay one more that I think is even better than the 4 I listed previously. Romans 11:6.
""And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.""
Do you not see this verse the way I do, which is that we are saved SOLELY by the grace of God and does not include any of my works at all to my credit?
In fact my "good works" are filthy rags in his sight according to a passage in the old testament. Thank you again.

@Gary G Good question. I interpret those verses as they stand. For instance, Eph 2:8-9 tell me which was in the correct interpretation:
      Ephesians 2:8-9 RSV
[8] For by grace you have been saved 👉through faith;👈 and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God-
[9] not because of works, lest any man should boast.
      Or this:
      Ephesians 2:8-9 RSV
[8] For by grace you have been saved 👉through faith ALONE;👈 and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God-
[9] not because of works, lest any man should boast.
OBVIOUSLY, the first verses are correct.
So let's cut to the chase.
St. Paul uses the word FAITH over 200 times in his Epistles.
St. Paul uses the word ALONE 17 times in his Epistles.
Nowhere does St. Paul use the two words together.
*SHOW ME WHERE ST. PAUL USES THE PHRASE FAITH ALONE.*
If The Holy Spirit wanted the faithful to believe in SOLA FIDE, the phrase FAITH ALONE would have been in sacred, Holy Spirit inspired scripture.
But that phrase is found in Scripture, and it is used to refute Sola Fide.
You are presupposing faith alone every single time you see the word faith or believe. Do you see that this is exactly what you are doing and not only in scripture, but in other works of the church Fathers as well.
You are mentally adding the word "Alone" after the word "faith" in scripture.
The Holy Spirit, through Paul and James, have already REJECTED, any believe in Faith Alone/Faith By-Itself/Faith Only as a means to be justified/saved.
Gary, I'm not your enemy. False Doctrines of the Reformation are your enemies.
You should watch the video before continuing.
If Faith Alone were true, it would be a Doctrine of each of the Apostolic Churches: Catholic, Orthodox, Assyrian, Coptic. But it is not. Why?
      The Holy Spirit Rejects it.
Martin Luther and the Reformers affirm it.
Now an ancient heresy was revived, along with almost all the heresies which were defeated throughout salvation history.
Do you believe in the Blessed Trinity?
Ask yourself why I have to ask that. I ask because the Heterodox can believe in many heresies born out of the Reformation and afterwords.
Please don't call them heretics and not true believers because they will say the same thing about you.

      @Gary G This addresses your 2nd comment.
You believe that if I don't believe in Faith Alone, then I must believe in Faith + Works for my salvation. THIS is a FALSE Dichotomy.
We believe that a Saving Faith is a Living Faith. What is a Living Faith? It's a faith that is conjoined to Agape.
      Paul states this:
      Corinthians 13:1-3 RSV
[1] If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, 👉but have not love,👈 I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
[2] And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, 👈but have not love, I am nothing.👈
[3] If I give away all I have, and if I deliver my body to be burned, 👉but have not love, I gain nothing.👈
James shows us what a dead faith is as well:
      James 2:19 RSV
You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder.
      Faith BY-ITSELF/FAITH ALONE = a DEAD FAITH.
By the way, my works are not dirty rags because they are not my works, but Christ's, who is working through me, (Gal 2:20).
      Contemplate this:
      Ephesians 2:10 RSV
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
The works of Eph 2:10 spoken of are Graced-works; God prepared these works for us.
Nobody can do these works unless they are saved (1 Peter 3:21), born-again (John 3:5),
sanctified and justified (1 Cor 6:11), and a new creation, conformed to Christ (2 Cor 5:17).
