I've seen almost 40 videos but nobody ever plays Bruno In the double pivot with ugarte.its crazy cos he plays there all the time at portugal whenever they set up as a back 3
Nor should they. For one, Portugal faces international teams where the intensity and the positional discipline required is no where near the league level because. Then there's the fact that his teammates in the NT are just better accommodaters of his flaws. Palhinha is quite different to Ugarte despite both being ball winners. Palhinha anchors better while Ugarte tends to chase. Similar thing to Neves who is also superior in possession. Vitinha is more of a harrier/chaser like Ugarte is but he's light yearsbetter on the ball. Relying on Ugarte and Bruno, not only to progress the ball but to recycle possession and control the game in the most intense league will be problematic.
This is Charlie from the video. Agree this is a possibility in certain games. Amorim has used Pedro G in the pivot at Sporting before when they’re expected to hold the majority of possession, think we’ll see Ugarte-Bruno in certain moments with the 3-1-6 in possession. Then allows for two of Mount/Amad/Rashford/Garnacho to play with Højlund/Zirkzee as well.
That means you need to do more research on *"amorim's system"* which is different than other managers who play three at the back. Bruno has no technical skills. He can't arry the ball, can't dribble, can't recieve on the half turn, is not press resistant and he can't control the pace of a game. Bruno is not good enough as a no.8 for a team with the ambitions of man utd. He might work there for a team like wolves, ipswich, fulham or portugal. But not united.
best player at the club, goal threat creative spark plus physicality. add on to that his leadership and mentality hes going to be vital to any success we have
yes he ticks nearly every box but he can be got at in 1v1 situations when defending wide channels. Besides that good progressor of the ball(short, medium, and long), good positional defender, good carrying in all phases. Defo an across the backline besides CCB. Hes the Mount version in defense in terms of versatility
wow you've found another tactical "guru" who understand the game even less than CAM lol. his choice of players and reasoning is outrageous. Put simply evans is our best defender in terms of positioning awareness and instincts. Hes also composed and good on the ball, i know fans like to hype martinez ball playing ability but evans hardly makes the same mistakes on the ball that martinez does every game. I expect evans to get a lot of game time this season flanked by any 2 of martinez de light and yoro. Garnacho is not wingback hes hardly a winger lol expect his minutes to be limited moving forwards now ETH is gone. He cant play in the 10s as his technique isnt good enough his driblling is loose and his decion making is poor. He also struggles when pressed. Casemiro and Ugarte wil be the midfield to with case breaking forward as the box to box hes the best player at the club, a goal threat and creative and a LEADER. Also his physical presence is needed in the midfield. Kobbie will be coming on from the bench unless he can force his way in to one of the 10 positions. Bruno and amad will start in the 10s the two most creative players in the squad. Rashford will play the 9, hes not great but miles better than hojland. malacia, anthonoy dalot and maz will rotate the wing back positions
So happy to have the tactical view back!!!
Interesting listen, cheers.
Finally cam is back.
Cam needs to be on regular!!

@@BlackChrishidepends on opposition. New manager strikes me as someone who will adjust his team to who we play

I believe Antony will be an awesome RWB.
Great job guys
I have missed your analysis 💙🙏

Anthony could be the new nuno Santos. He could really thrive in that role
