Jinder is a heel, and he's hated. Proper hated heels are shockingly rare in this day and age. So if they want to do a classic babyface overcoming the odds against a heel, then they need a heel that people don't like. Jinder's nailing that right now.
How did they manage to pick so many holes in such a fun match. Tyler Breeze is god damn brilliant and that match was really entertaining. All they did was fucking moan, I love both of them but Jesus Christ!
Because they weren't taking a TITLE match seriously. The funny stuff is okay for promos, but it shouldn't intrude on the match. It just makes them look like clowns who have no business being there, and if they'd won, it makes their opponents look like shit for losing to people who aren't taking it seriously
My favourite part of the Styles/KO match was when you see AJ reach into the table, pull out the wires and wrap them around his ankle, great camera work
I don't mind Jinder winning, I just think there should have been more of a build up, yeah you can make the argument that it's the whole point of him winning because he sucks and he's a heel, also the fact that he cheated but most of us who are true wrestling fans don't want to see a jobber ascend to these heights so suddenly.
Sure Jbl was a jobber before he won the belt but he was a more credible heel then Jinder. (Listen I like Jinder I just don't agree with how he was booked).
I know it's an indie storyline, but Jimmy Havoc lost 5 straight matches before arguably becoming one of the best Heel champions in years at Progress Wrestling I'm saying in terms of story, there's good precedent for something good despite being a jobber before hand. Also, in the "real" sports world, Leicester won the Premier league after coming 17th out of 20 the previous season so, fuck it, literally anything is possible
