Bat Trang is no stranger to Vietnamese but I never dig into it so I'm surprise at the scale, I thought it's just couple households and couple kilns still in operation and continue the legacy of the ancient craft. Vietnamese don't walk so you don't see video like this ever. Thanks for showing us around on foot of this cool area.

that was amazing to see, but my serious question is how in 2024, are all those little places staying open? Rent, etc? before payroll? Some i saw more than 1 person, Everyday, to sell what? 1 or 2 things a day IF their lucky. Even if they sell a VERY expensive thing, how many times does thats happen, As unlike electronics, jewelry, watches, you cant just carry valuable stuff away. so? I saw very few tourists, and the few business that did focus on export, you could observe that by their shops. And even then, the supply far outweighs the demand, that seems clear on this single day. But its sure an amazing "slice of life" thanks again

These shops are for show and tell,. their actual sells are online businesses.. they ship these all over the world not just Vietnam, but in Vietnam alone they can distribute these to small shops in the cities, or they make it big when they sell it for hotels, apartments, grand events. The markets you see in Vietnam they been doing this for 20-30yrs, selling for the international market, way before the internet, they have connections.
