the wave effect for me looks awful when copying this, it makes it flat at the top for some reason and looks weird, anyone know a fix
Aaah yes, that sometimes happens. You can enable the "Continuously Rasterize and Collapse Transformation Button". It's the second button/checkbox next to the layer name in the composition panel. If you don't find it, let us know😉

very confusing tutorial, you dont show how you animated the ball layer... need to do better, much better.
We just used the position property, making the ball go from right to left and back to the right. Nothing to fancy😊
