Wow... that was cool those small paddles. She is a great partner to practice with. Shes so good/fast and seems nice /supportive .. geeze. I see so much I need to improve in my game. Thanks for the video.
I just got the Franklin sweet spot trainer for use with the Dink Master. Great to see you all using these training paddles!
On a side note, its really satisfying to see the ball go back and forth so smoothly between you both. Hand battles are my favorite part of pickleball.
Loved the video!
Thanks for your sharing.
2 🐐 sharing one court! Domi has the best counters in the west, and I love to see the scorpions coming out!
Sounds like we need to bring on the scorpion king for that vid 👀
Great vid! I'm not sure I actually agree with using the sweet spot trainers for hand speed. They are inherently way faster than a normal paddle in hands battles so it's sort of like a cheat in that way(tho sweet spot is obv smaller) . I think they're great for dinking/transition cuz they make you focus more on footwork. I wonder if you're better off training with a super heavy head heavy paddle so that it really feels like you're moving in molasses before going back to your gamer.
I use sweet spot trainers a lot for fun games and dinking drills but not so much for resets/full swings cuz it's whippier than my normal paddle and doesn't really help me train a feel for defense/drives.
Have you done any video on the doubles movement - FUNNELING as you called it ? Where you try to keep the most low probability shot open for the opponent to attempt a speedup
what is the promo code and discount for those fluid training paddles?
What is that indoor setup with the net and ball machine?
Also.... What grip is she sitting scorp on? Looks eastern if not semi western. Would love for a deep dive on how/if she adjust grips depending on where she's anticipating the speedup. Actually looks like she's just always eastern?
looks to me like she's sitting between Eastern and Continental but turning her wrist when the ball comes to her right shoulder area
The third shot drives are always a good idea but perpetuated right right now by the horrible horrible Vulcan ball. Nobody can trust its play characteristics so you might as well slam it at the other guy.
