Has anyone mapped out the dialects of the United States with the European influences? For example the Irish and English from the northeast down to the southern states? German and Polish around the Great Lakes, Scandinavia in Minnesota. I find bits and pieces I just wonder if any one studied this. A map would definitely help. Thank you for getting the mind going 😊
In the beginning of your video, you demonstrate people who are on a certain point on the Dunning-Kruger Effect curve. Google it, click Images, and be amazed in case you don't know that curve.
Hi Jade! What has happened with Ur eyes in this vid? What sort of magic You've managed to witch as they are so green and bright? Just magnetically beautiful eyes as immaculate as You entirely are!!!!
There is an aggressiveness in modern society which doesn't respect people who have doubt - hence you must avoid "should" and "trying to" and so on. But it's bullshit because nobody really knows or can have 100% confidence in everything. I have this problem all the time because I'm being accurate about my uncertainty and people take that as a lack of determination instead of truthfulness.
Thank you so much teacher Jade for great lesson!l often use the expression " I'm trying to.."when talking about my English learning.l never realized l was expressing a possible failure! Words are so powerful!l will hereafter say:"l m learning English with pleasure and confidence!"greetings from Italy:)
Hi Jade when I was at school I had a teacher who looked exactly like you . That is why I like you as a teacher. I also find your English lessons really interesting and I enjoy watching your UA-cam Channel because it helps my conversation skills get better ( This comment is coming from a native English Speaker)
hi Jade, I have a doubt for you. " Donald Trump to urge society for Covid-19 pandemic". How this happen? i mean "to" was used without any verb. Is this reported speech?. Can you post a video for this issue? it will really help all who still struggle in learning English. From Sri Lanka
Hello thank you so Much Jade! I can say that my English is bad but being aware that my English is much better. It is kind of giving advantage to someone whose English is really bad to make them feel that their English is well.
Could you please answer my question? Are these two sentences correct? 1- This long winter will be end soon. 2- Will this long winter be end soon. I hope you answer my question. Thank you
That's a really nice video, you were funny speaking such a true! I find so cool when people are funny being serious. I am in the 'my English isn't good team'. Thanks a lot.
Thank you so much for this lesson , we need more lessons like this one in order to better understand the language and be able to express exactly what we want to say
People here in my country prefer to use “trying to “ “hope” “might” etc. they consider these as modest ... And they even think speaking too directly to show your desire is kind of impolite ... those who are just normally confident would be considered as people who like to brag themselves . So it’s so hard to be confident for a lot of people in this environment , also hard to express normally like The positive paradigms in your video , they’re the reasons why the words first come to my mind is “ I’m trying to “ instead of “I can do /am doing” ... and it’s easy to have insecurity when someone tells you that he or she didn’t do well in that exam and then they‘ll get 90+ /100 🙃 . Really hope there’s more honesty . ( see “hope” QwQ )I will change my own problems , I want to heal my insecurity !!! What a culture shock lol
I understand why it's better to say things in a psycological positiviness, just not to block your action. But sometimes is also beneficial express what you think about your behaivior: I should... I have to... I wish... I think it's more natural, first you express this feeling, then you find how to do that, and of course it will be correctly say it as: Yes! I can speak english :)
really my English speaking is so terrible miss. and now i am trying so hard to speak a good English like a native speaker talk. in this journey i do i really need a book material as long as self practice? if yes kindly suggest me which English book should i get to strengthen my ability to speak English. thank you in advance!
We can suggest life skills to those who are willing to learn or are open to ideas unless we need to appear and sound out of place. Learning is about liking to live life unless it is about wanting to live life. Liking is experiencing life and wanting is feeling life. Loving is living life and indulging is loving life.
This is the line where language and sociology/psychology meet. Good for emotional intelligence.
I'm in love with your accent
Great teacher!!! Thanks greetings from Argentina!
Hallo Jade, you and your lesson deserve 100 % degrees.
The more you know, the more you know that you still have to learn.
you still have to learn
I hate that
Soooo true!
well said
So true
I think when someone is going to use the " I am doing that or I am already not going to do that " and fail, he/she is gonna go into negative circles
think about how u think or your ways of thinking
You have very interesting lesson jade!

Once I asked a man 👨 a question "do you speak English?". And what you think he replied? " What you do? "
When asked I answer : My tailor is rich but my English is poor.
Desiring what you have is having what you desire
At 1:38 you truly sound like an italian trying to speak english😂 (I'm italian)
Do you like The Simpsons?
@@Enrique305 Of course I do. I mean, i like the first 12-13 seasons...
AAA
"Do you speak English?" - "I like to pretend I do". Helps that I was born in the UK though.
Why the Japanese user name?
@@pauljordan4452 I used to be a weeb and the name stuck, unfortunately.

I agree, it's all about "selling yourself" nowadays. Sadly, we must interact with humans, and humans don't buy arguments, they buy emotions mainly.

"I quit smoking", is far too American. "I used to smoke", is far more English! "Me used to smoke, when me was a pikney", is even more London. 😮
Thank you for this class. I really appreciate your lessons!
I have to get up early and go to work. I want to get up early and go to work! Quite a difference. I feel better already!
Do you speak English? I normally answer by saying you xxxxxxx bet. LOL

You're a great teacher, Jade. One thing: speak a bit more quietly.
