The highlight of my Idaho trip! Short scenic hikes with great scenery. They filmed the movie "Idaho Transfer" here back in 1973 but I didn't find the exact location.

This really needs to be the next national park in the U.S. Will be Idaho's first national park that only Idaho can boast about as Yellowstone is really centered in Wyoming. If you can make downtown St.Louis a national park, you can make this wonder one definitely!
According to their website, pets are welcome in the campground and in parking lots and paved roads but not in the visitor center or on NPS Monument trails (with the exception of service animals). Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Hope that helps!
I went there two days ago. There are 400 caves or lava tubes, but only 5 opened to the public. It also covers 750,000 square miles.
