Hello I made this in a 1.5 crochet hook for my husband it's way too big I need to make it about 3 inches smaller using a1.5 crochet hook I was thinking about in the crown area making 8 stitches instead of 16 will that work please help I love this pattern
Hello. Thank you for the video. Where I shop for yarn, the yarn weight is indicated by a number and a term. For example, I am familiar with average weight yarn being #4 or worsted. Bulky is #6. When I go to the store to buy what you call a three-ply, what number yarn weight should I look for? Thanks!
I used a size 3 yarn and a a size 2 crochet pin. I'm making this hat for my adult son , head size 6inches. The hat is so big. Thanks for responding but please tell me what to do, I love the pattern. Thanks
It does stretch a bit once its ready... Result with thread will be different from 3ply yarn... For small size go for smaller hook and try this with thinner yarn
Asalaamu Alaki, What size crochet thread are you using ? I have szie 3 and size 10 on hand 10 being thinner than 3. suggest hook for 3is 3.50mm and for 10 is 1.5mm. Barakallahu feeki.
I am not Muslim so apologies if this is an odd or silly question: but would this cap be an appropriate gift for my coworker? (A close relative passed away and he is praying, so I wanted to make something according to his faith.) And are there any restrictions on yarn? I know there are some in the Torah, but don't know if the Quran is the same.
I have tried making this hat 3 times and it is way TOO BIG!!! I even went down to a needle size hook and it’s still too BIG!! Is there a smaller pattern for this hat?

No matter what yarn (crochet cotton Anchor) with 2.5mm hook my cap is still massive. What am I doing wrong?!

I don have a 2size hook can I use a 2.5
