    Much easier to make than I thought! Just finished making it for a friend and I used a 2.25 hook. Now I want to get more colors of yarn to make more!

    My grandma tought me how to make a kufi and it came out perfect I wear it alot and I have a couple of qurans and I try to read them as much as I can and learn Islam and the Muslim faith and I made a Muslim rosary i use 99 beads and string on it i pray my Muslim rosary every night

    A friend asked could I knit him a couple in orange colour and he'd bring ones he had in for me to see...I'm a knitter but can crochet basic things and the ones he brought in were crocheted...thank heavens for your fab tutorial step by step...first time I've crocheted an item to wear and I must admit to feeling pretty proud of myself...a couple of little mistakes you'd have trouble spotting but if it fits me should fit him fine...well over 30 years since I used 3 ply yarn and vowed never again...oh well....onto the next as he's asked for a few...490g cone should see those done in no time...thankyou from a very novice hooker with very low confidence...

    Love your teaching method. Great project. Your English is outstanding!!! Do you have any other patterns for a Kufi cap? I will post a picture on you FB page of my finished project. I made it not as a prayer cap but as a Sicilian fisherman's hat. My husband had one that he used in the garden as he is bald and the sun would burn him. Thank yoiu for the great directions.

    🤗 I appreciate you getting back to me so quickly. My son is an adult. He wears a 7 ¼ fitted hat. I made this hat following a beanie pattern. But yours is so beautiful and I want to use your pattern I’m not a novice crochetter but I know patterns can be adjusted in a variety of ways. I want to honor your skill.

      Nope that will be bigger for your head you can try it by reducing the size of the hook and yarn

    Hello I made this in a 1.5 crochet hook for my husband it's way too big I need to make it about 3 inches smaller using a1.5 crochet hook I was thinking about in the crown area making 8 stitches instead of 16 will that work please help I love this pattern

    Hello. Thank you for the video. Where I shop for yarn, the yarn weight is indicated by a number and a term. For example, I am familiar with average weight yarn being #4 or worsted. Bulky is #6. When I go to the store to buy what you call a three-ply, what number yarn weight should I look for? Thanks!

      Adjustments for this pattern is always been difficult all you have to do is use lower no of crochet hook.

    how do you make the stretchy kind? Or how is it possible to make in different sizes?

      It does stretch a bit once its ready... Result with thread will be different from 3ply yarn... For small size go for smaller hook and try this with thinner yarn

    Asalaamu Alaki, What size crochet thread are you using ? I have szie 3 and size 10 on hand 10 being thinner than 3. suggest hook for 3is 3.50mm and for 10 is 1.5mm. Barakallahu feeki.

    I am not Muslim so apologies if this is an odd or silly question: but would this cap be an appropriate gift for my coworker? (A close relative passed away and he is praying, so I wanted to make something according to his faith.) And are there any restrictions on yarn? I know there are some in the Torah, but don't know if the Quran is the same.

      Yes you can but that size will make it bigger in size

      Once u reach the desired length don't increase more stitches and keep working with the same number of stitches

    Help! How can I adjust the pattern to make a smaller size prayer cap? I
    Everyone I ask, simply says choose any yarn I want just be sure to use the recommended hook size. It’s not working.

      Go for same pattern use 1.5mm hook and 3ply yarn or u can go for thinner yarn

      The thickness of wool does change size... I recommend for small size 1.5mm hook and 3ply yarn or even thinner yarn hope it will work for u aswell 🙂

    I worked the pattern and hat seems to come out big. I am using #5 thread and crochet hooks 2.75.

      Thread is bigger kindly use number 2 or 3 thread coz this deisgn has alot of stitches that's why need thinner yarn n smaller hook
