It goes like 1-1.5 psi over. Reason being that when you disconnect the hose it drops a bit of pressure. That is built into the Bauers programming. It’s a great inflator I’ve been using mine for 3 years and I bought it refurbished.

And btw, I’ve got both the bauer sprayer and fogger, which I’ve owned for over a year and being a…um, horticultural entrepreneur, use both extensively every single week. They are unbelievably nice, and not just for the pricepoint. I’ve got foggers that cost over $600, and the bauer beats them all somehow. Especially when using the 8ah battery. Be aware using those battery adapters though… i did this initially as well, with my dewalt batteries and i bricked one. Bauer has their LVC circuit in their batteries while dewalt has them in their tools…which means you’ve got no protection against a total cell drain scenario for your dewalt batteries. Your way better off going and investing in an 8 ah bauer battery and just using that.

The pump has to go past the number so when it settles it's on the number you set

you forgot to mention one of the most important features of the DeWalt. Its ability to deflate. Especially usefull for large boat toys. why I always keep one on the boat

The only DeWalt deflate feature I’m familiar with is what big yellow does to my checking account.

Agreed. Not everyone can afford quality tools.

That Dewalt inflator is certainly not "quality" where it actually counts, which are the two tiny off brand chinesium 12v universal brushed motors with like ³/³² output shafts... Maybe ⅛" at most... If it starts under pressure repeatedly or is used for truck tires (basically anything over 50psi) for any regular use the shafts of those weak $2 motors will shear off at the drive gear... And the "high volume" side is a joke for pool floats, let alone air mattresses... Any cheapo $15 120vAC or 12vDV high volume inflator will do twice the pressure 😒 Great build quality, design, and durability... For everything except the most important parts! I will not break a 4th one until they upgrade to a decent 12v universal motor or a nice powerful brushless motor! Like they should've done from the begging for $130-$150! I've switched to a cheap digital Walmart/Amazon compressor using a $12 DC-DC step down voltage converter and a Dewalt battery slide/power output ($15 for 2 or cut one off something from the Dewalt graveyard and do some soldering) For like $70ish dollars you can assemble a REAL tire inflator, with the digital interface that is 3-4X faster and won't break from ya know inflating tires 🤨 I will gladly buy another Dewalt 20v inflator, but only if they actually put something besides a Lego playset hobby motor inside... If you love yours stick to 40psi and under passenger tires... No full size trucks or trailers that need 60-80 psi... 🙄

Man... I don't have to even watch the video to tell them M18 is better ;-) PS.... I own M18 batteries. I do use an adapter to power a old dewalt 4.5 inch circular saw though. I actually love that little thing and have cut like 1500 feet of flooring with it and a speed square in my last house. I need the pressure sprayer thing. I may have to find a Bauer adaptor for my batteries. That way I only have to have a single battery, but I also have a Ryobi batteries as well. Only issue I'd see with the Bauer is that adapter. If you have a larger battery it wouldn't sit flat, but not a huge deal.

I’m too committed to yellow at this point to switch to M18 :(

Of course the Milwaukee is better, but at this point we’re talking about Price. You cannot debate the fact that the bauer is not horrible for 30 bucks and the Bauer warranty is way better It’s literally six bucks for a two year no questions asked warranty I’ve had nothing but issues trying to warrantee Milwaukee

Probably can't drive that pressure through the non-schrader tube 😅

That was a thought, but also science (and instruction manuals) can be confusing.

My dewalt inflator didn’t even make it 4 months before being unusable.. biggest piece of shit, which seems par for the course of late with Dewalt tools. Within a couple weeks, it could no longer read pressure, a few weeks after that it would throw constant error codes and cut power. Shortly thereafter, the godamn swivel action on the valve stem connector seized completely up, requiring me to pick up the entire unit and rotate it into the valve stem. Pathetic. Add to this two of my xr tools, a circ and jig saw that intermittently cut power (even under zero load) so frequently that even cross cutting 2x stock an exercise in frustration. I’m very much don’t with Dewalt. I’ve got a lot of their tools and millwaukee, but I’m replacing them all with herculese and bauer going forward, and haven’t had any issues with either in over two years across 16 tools. The five year in store no questions asked warranty on the Herc brushless line makes them a no brainer for me now. And they have all performed as well as my Dewalts for the most part and pretty damn close to my red tools.
