Ambition always being more than budget is something still photographers experience and get swept up in very easily. Acquiring a 200mm lens, quickly after using it, you start to think about if did something with a 200mm, how great would it be to try it with a 400mm. That's why getting a small lens of a single focal length, like a 50mm (which I consider underappreciated) and just purposely giving yourself personal projects is such a great exercise when learning photography.
I see inspiration from the channel Studio Binder in your videos! Which is great! This is equally as informative and enjoyable to watch. On average how long does it take you to make these types of videos? Also the tiniest bit of constructive criticism I would give is sometimes a point the DP is making is repeated/re-worded in a different way and this can make the point seem longer than needed! But the layout and how you structure your videos is amazing.
Thanks for the feedback! It does take a while because there's a lot going into research, we're going through many hours of content and condensing into watchable 10-15 min format saving people lots of time. The goal is to provide as much valuable information in that timespan. Perhaps we might be going a little too in-depth, trying to figure out that balance but we'll see if we can condense more things that might be repetitive
This is too good to listen to just once. RP is quickly becoming one of the all time greats!!!
as a student learning cinematography, this channel is very very helpful. thank you for making the content!

A 50mm lens (35mm full frame equivalent) is such a beautiful, neutral focal length that I could use that all day long.
This channel is just genius. I'm so glad I found and I'm so glad it exists. Thank you for the hard work you put into making these videos!

Does Rodrigo look like Steve O in the clip pic or is it just me?
I'm crazy to think that a director should be a cinematographer?
Love all the insight... but you'd think his lighting would be better...
What a petty observation. No reason why his zoom call should look like a Hollywood blockbuster. Dunce.
