It's a type of dysautonomia or a disorder of the autonomic nervous system that causes a rapid increase in heart rate and usually a drop in blood pressure upon standing. It usually causes presyncope, or the feeling of being about to faint, or sometimes fainting. Common treatments without medication include eating more salt and drinking a lot of water. In my case I experience presyncope usually whenever I stand or sometimes sitting down, and occasionally I'll black out for a few seconds depending on how bad my symptoms are that day. Hope that clears it up!
