  • Pioneering innovations are the hallmark of a successful enterprise. Innovations that provide the right answers to what moves people. One example is autonomous driving. This is an area where Doppelmayr is thinking ahead with the introduction of AURO (Autonomous Ropeway Operation). AURO ropeways bring passengers safely and reliably to their destinations in tourist regions or cities - with unmanned operations and cutting-edge digital network technology. This concept is pointing the way for the future of rope-propelled mobility.

    What about disabled skiers?

what about the adaptive skiers? these new lift styles are impossible for adaptive skiers.. i can ski independently but these new lift styles require 3 lifties and the equipment to be stopped for me to unload the lift. its a very disinclusive design.

How will this work for adaptive/disabled skiers? You already make the chairlifts that are the most difficult for me to navigate in a sit ski. Will this make it worse? And if you do make it worse, and there is no one at the top station, isn't that dangerous? It seems like Doppelmayr, the manufacturer of the lifts that are least friendly to the disabled community, may be innovating even more ways to degrade our experience.

Are you saying that modern chairlifts harder to get on than old ones? This sounds interesting to me. I already hate the modern lift manufacturers for destroying my passion for ski lifts.
And I also immediately thought the idea of only one operator for the whole lift was dangerous. All the freaking stations need a freaking lift attendant. Anything can go wrong.

This is a terrible idea for adaptive skiers. Or anyone that might need assistance. The whole autonomous AI idea is crap.

Yeah, it doesn't work like that. You hit those switches, somebody's got manually put them back. And they could have a ton of door faults too.

The work here looks interesting. Would be neat to see in action and then a timelapse after implementation.
Food for thought: Would there be enough demand for a separate loading/unloading track for mobility-impaired passengers?

How is this going to work for independent sit (adaptive) skiers? Is there going to be a seat constantly left without the divider to a sit skier can use the chair? Please engage with the adaptive community - don't make it "inaccessible" over "staff shortages" 🤦‍♂️
