Love the areial view of the town. Great video. I am a long time resident of over 40 years in Tillsonburg and I agree 100% with what Dream Design had to say. It's turned into a seniors community and the shopping experience is not here for us who want it. I have to take my business to other towns which include Simcoe, Woodstock even Ingersoll and London to get a better shopping experience. I should be able to get that experience in Tillsonburg. Matter of fact Simcoe has less residents then Tillsonburg don't argue that fact with me I worked for Census Canada and I know Simcoe has less residents but they have an amazing shopping experience. Their uptown is booming, they have enough department stores which are huge to shop in for anything you want or need. Tillsonburg needs to step up their game. Although a clean town it has become and overpriced town. To buy houses in Tillsonburg now the prices are ridiculous move just a little ways away and you get more for your money. I am considering moving because as I get older the needs I want are no longer met in Tillsonburg. People can't get a doctor or dentist who move here and they can't get the full shopping they need here. It has some pluses but being a pretty clean town doesn't make up for what's lacking.
Tillsonburg would be a great town if the shopping experience were there. Came to visit and it was horrible to shop nothing there. The uptown shops are expensive as all hec and the Walmart is small and does not accommondate the size of the town. No other stores to really shop where's the No Frills, Giant Tiger, Food Basics and large department store to acommondate the size of Tillsonburg. We came to visit considering moving there BUT found the shopping experience was horrible and it's more of a senior citizen town then anything. The town itself is clean and nice but that's all there was so we moved to a different town that does have the shopping experience. We wanted a town we didn't have to leave to go shopping and we found it in Simcoe!! Great video love the areial view.
Locals don't even comment on the "shopping experience" Why would you even consider going to Tillsonburg for a shopping experience when there are a million other places to shop? Sorry but you are missing the point. Do you have a lifestyle experience of substance that you are seeking. Look again!
I have family and friends who live there in Tillsonburg who all say the same thing, Tillsonburg is lacking in a good shopping experience and they sure wish they didn't HAVE to leave town to get that experience. Tillsonburg is not such a small town anymore that there shouldn't be the shopping experience to accomondate their needs. So yes I have experience regarding Tillsonburg and also have the right to my opinion. Enough said!!
