- After 3 months of confinement we are finally allowed to get back out hunting. Without being able to travel to our roe deer hunting area as its on another state, I explore the hunting opportunities from back home.
A few days of some amazing hunting opportunities that lead to two awesome bucks. One of them is one of the largest roe bucks ever taken in this part of Spain, which was lucky, but it felt ever luckier to be able to go out hunting again.

A modo de resumen, los primeros corzos en rececho autorizados por la Diputación Foral de Bizkaia, fue en 1993 y hubo más autorizaciones que solicitudes, pero no sé cazó nada. Luego la situación fue mejorando, mejores guías y más corzos. Creo y sin equivocarme, que el punto álgido de corzos en Enkarterri, fue la primera decena de este siglo.
En esta comarca a parte de corzos y jabalíes, hay ciervos, en concreto en Carranza y en Arcentales, introducidos en distintas sueltas entre1981-83 y lobos. Es más, hará unos cinco años se vieron en las laderas del Zalama, algunos rebecos, nada descabellado si tenemos en cuenta que en el Parque Natural Collados del Ansón, los hay y la distancia entre ambos montes es mínima.
En cuanto a caza menor a parte de sordas y palomas hay un par de bandos de perdices, totalmente autóctonas (quizás las últimas de Bizkaia) , que espero que me perdones, pero no digo donde.

In the vasque country Roe bucks are very small, this is not considered a trophy. Its a great one for the area though

Like Harald I would like to give you some suggestions :
- check the firearm at the shooting range before the start of each hunting season.
- if you don't already do it reload the ammunition by yourself.
- the last, and in my opinion not least, try to shoot it in the neck!
Less waste of meat and the prey does not take a single step.
Once this is done...
if you carefully tie the trachea and the anal orifice with a lanyard during the cleaning
phase, there is no risk of dirtying the inside of the prey with rumen residues or feces.
I've been hunting roe deer for years now...
First exclusively together with my father and he too has always cleaned the prey in front of me.
And from some years even alone and (if some poaching hasn't passed before in my area!) I always take some animals at home.
Anyway beautiful video ...the emotions it transmits are strong!

Always room for improvement, but I’ll sign that I’ll shoot like that always! One dropped as it was quartering away to me, and the other one run 50 meters.

That's correct both shots where way to the back side, the second shot was nearly at his back leg. Not a good example of how you go stalking. If this was driven hunt i could understand but both roebucks where standing still. If its to far ( don't shoot ! period ) Lucky to find the second one in my opinion. If you shoot like this in Germany you won't get a chance to shoot a second one.! The film only shows the trophy but not where the bullet took place.
But a experienced hunter sees this as the shot was taken where the bullet was!
I don’t need to spare my words you r shooting says enough and I’m not the fist to say so on this site
