to this point of exploring bts and becoming army for almost a year, i dont see them as celebrities or famous ppl anymore. i developed a feeling where i just look at them as 7 normal guys who do music together, and they are like my best friends who went far away from me to continue doing their work and i am here supporting them from far away. these perspectives helps me to trust them all the way and not being trapped in a delusional mindset of liking celebs. i'd feel guilty to invade their privacy, objectifying them, or theorize anything related to their lives. they tried so hard to bring comfort, healing, and make their audience happy, we grew a liking and loving them like crazy, but bcs i appreciate all of these feelings and emotions they bring to me, it makes me want nothing in return but their happiness. being a public figure who chose to share their lives with fans, the least i can do is appreciate their choice and not humiliating them as a return. about namjoon mentioning the army letter. i felt that a lot. and that also one of the reason i decided to be army and support these guys. something so down to earth about him mentioning that particular issue with fans. Theres a barrier is what im saying. They are artists who connects themselves with fans. made us feel like we are part of this journey. Bts succeeded in doing that. But i too sometimes felt that way...bts has become an important part of my life, i felt like me, bts & army are walking a path together, but i see bts getthing higher and higher, successful, but im still here stuck and still out breath trying to make a living. What honestly surprises me is the fact that namjoon addresses the thought. not many artists out there knows how to handle that question/thoughts coming from fans. Most artists would avoid it. But namjoon addresses it so well. my respect for namjoon went up when i first discovered tht clip of him saying that. that also makes me realize why bts can connect to their fans so well. they knew very well the concerns we have as fans, they knew fan culture, they knew they made real fans, they know how real armys are like, and why we connect to them so well.

good video, it's not the first time I saw it, and it always make me feel emotional, but the clips are quite old, now. They are not the same people, they faced a lot, they grew and matured a lot. Jimin is more confident about his voice and his look, he is less hard with himself now. Taeyhung is more quiet, Jin gained some self estime, Jungkook was raised et "filled by the six boys" as he said back in time, but the last 4 years, he fight to find is true selves and showing is own personality and his style as a singer.... I hope someone will made an uptaded video about "the real BTS", because the guys deserved it !

And although some may view sensitivity and a fear of criticism as a weak thing, I think BTS' ability to be empathetic throughout their entire journey is a gift. when the boys went to perform at the time of their debut Namjoon received death threats in the US, the show had to be cancelled. Jimin always had self-esteem issues, he always charged himself too much for his voice and weight because of criticism, luckily he got over it, he goes on a healthier diet because of shows and training. he loves himself :)
If Im not mistaken RM talk about in 4:12 is about the death threat of him.., that's why they cancel their concert in Beijing.., correct me if Im wrong.., thank you..,
They struggled to make it. Now they've made it and are wealthy, but now there are new issues - lack of any privacy, no private time to spend with families (so I'm glad they are able to have some kind of time off this month at least), hard to start any kind of relationship outside of BTS because people will either hate them or love them, or hate or love the person they date too. Who knows what would happen to all their endorsements too. It's actually a bit scary, I would think. I really feel for them. I do hope they get to be together as they age, even if it is just to visit each other and sing around a campfire or something. I will always support them too, as long as I'm living and able too...but my family has to come first, of course.

Firstly, thank you, Shiki, for reacting to this video. I hope you’ll feel better soon and are coming to terms with your recent break up. Of course I don’t know BTS personally but here are some insights I think I have into their lives. Being a successful idol brings you money but the work is hard and the constraints on your personal life are difficult to cope with. BTS have a lot less rules than idols from other agencies but the agency still likes to have control. Jin rebels in small ways, refusing to cut his hair when told to, things like that. Bang PD gave them the tools to solve conflicts. The clip of Jin talking to Taehyung about trying to be upbeat is the aftermath of an argument he had with Tae. They all got together to talk about it and then the two of them resolved it. They seem much closer now. The important thing, I feel, about JK is that he took notice of the others when they tried to guide him so that he has become a wonderful adult. SUGA’s parents were dead set against him pursuing his dream but from what he has said about the other members doing impersonations of his father I think we can infer that he has a lot of contact with them so they understand now. It’s very touching to hear how Jin and Hobi felt they were failing their parents but they are happy that they are sons to be proud of. Taehyung seems to be very family oriented. His father was very supportive of him and said if he couldn’t become an idol they’d find something else he could do. Sadly some very unkind people accused Tae of using his grandma’s death to gain sympathy. He lost his grandad a year later and a close friend committed suicide so he’s had a lot to deal with. Now we come to their love life. How any fan can call themselves that and expect the boys to forego romantic relationships is beyond me. Any hint of one brings the loonies out if the woodwork. Tae followed Blankpink’s Lisa on Instagram and the fans hounded the poor girl so he had to say it was a mistake and unfollow her. This is why they have a no romantic relationship rule in most agencies. Fans have to realise that the likelihood of meeting one of BTS and one of the boys falling for them is miniscule. They deserve a private life with the person they love. They want children and time is ticking. I would love to see them as fathers. What could be cuter than a mini Taehyung, RM, JK, Jimin, Yoongi, Hobi or Jin?

As Taehyung said in the clip, he was raised by his grandparents. BTS were on tour in the Philippines in September ‘16 when his grandmother suddenly passed away. Taehyung didn’t want to let ARMY down so he didn’t return home, but completed the whole tour. He should have gone home to mourn. He didn’t attend his grandmother’s funeral because BTS had their first win for Blood, Sweat and Tears, and again, he didn’t want to let ARMY down. He still didn’t mourn. We began to comment and worry that something was wrong with Taehyung as he was so quiet, and got thinner and thinner, so he eventually told us what had happened at muster in November. That winter he struggled badly, and there were nights Jimin would sit on hotel bathroom floors crying with him. He just never had the time to mourn and it tore him apart after no break from work for so long. In February ‘17 BTS comeback song was ‘Spring Day’. If you know the lyrics you will understand how tough it was for him to sing it, and why he still gets emotional when they perform it. It affected all of BTS. Their first win with Spring Day shows BTS hovering around Taehyung ~ his protective brothers trying to shield him. Taehyung lost his grandfather in summer ‘18 just as BTS were going to Malta to film Bon Voyage, so again he was back at work filming 3 days after the loss. In the space of 2 years Taehyung lost both his parent figures, a close school friend who took his own life, and also two other friends who also took their lives. Some think he is just the playful one; and it is true, he will do anything to make ARMY smile, but he carries life experience and wisdom that has made him so much the calm, deep thinking man he is off stage.💜
I am very emotional person . I cry at very small separating or meeting scenes . This video definitely made me cry as it is really sad to watch and its about members struggles . Bts has changed me in many ways . I used to laugh just little , now I laugh wholeheartedly and I trust people more , share my feelings more and most importantly, I have started to love myself and be confident. I am just 16 but the effect they have and will have in future , it will surely be good for me .

9:45 yes he was on a extremely dangerous diet, there are videos of him at that moment when he just faints, I'm so happy that he's now better and doesn't do that anymore! he actually tell us that we have to eat good and that it's ok to gain weight but you have to stay healthy :') I saw a comment recommending his self love journey and I agree, you should check that out :) I just feel like I'm having a conversation with you haha and I agree with all the things that you say here, they are just amazing :')

I think people shouldnt look at how much money they have but what they have sacrificed and worked their butts off to get, it didnt just fall in their laps they EARNED IT. A lot of Idols end up in debt even tho they are successful and they could have been the same luckily BigHIt stayed with them where a lot of companies wouldnt have both they and Band Shi-Hyuk had a dream and they kept going and I also I dont think they ever dreamed they would become as big as they are. When they blew up in the west it really changed their lives so now they have virtually no private life as they are constantly under scrutiny. The amount of media who wait for them at the airports when they are going anywhere is unreal.
It's because RM got death threats that time...😔 . I remember namjoon saying any of the boys didn't check out the comment section of their video because they are afraid of hate comments. Only Jin is the one who read all the comments because he instantly try to forget those hate comments after he reading those . These guys deserve all the achievements they are getting today.. 💕
The most hard thing about grandmother's V passed away was V could't say goodbye to her either go to her funeral because BTS were in Filipinas tour. This was very sad situation 😥

Firstly, thank you, Shiki, for reacting to this video. I hope you’ll feel better soon and are coming to terms with your recent break up. Of course I don’t know BTS personally but here are some insights I think I have into their lives. Being a successful idol brings you money but the work is hard and the constraints on your personal life are difficult to cope with. BTS have a lot less rules than idols from other agencies but the agency still likes to have control. Jin rebels in small ways, refusing to cut his hair when told to, things like that. Bang PD gave them the tools to solve conflicts. The clip of Jin talking to Taehyung about trying to be upbeat is the aftermath of an argument he had with Tae. They all got together to talk about it and then the two of them resolved it. They seem much closer now. The important thing, I feel, about JK is that he took notice of the others when they tried to guide him so that he has become a wonderful adult.
SUGA’s parents were dead set against him pursuing his dream but from what he has said about the other members doing impersonations of his father I think we can infer that he has a lot of contact with them so they understand now. It’s very touching to hear how Jin and Hobi felt they were failing their parents but they are happy that they are sons to be proud of. Taehyung seems to be very family oriented. His father was very supportive of him and said if he couldn’t become an idol they’d find something else he could do. Sadly some very unkind people accused Tae of using his grandma’s death to gain sympathy. He lost his grandad a year later and a close friend committed suicide so he’s had a lot to deal with. Now we come to their love life. How any fan can call themselves that and expect the boys to forego romantic relationships is beyond me. Any hint of one brings the loonies out if the woodwork. Tae followed Blankpink’s Lisa on Instagram and the fans hounded the poor girl so he had to say it was a mistake and unfollow her. This is why they have a no romantic relationship rule in most agencies. Fans have to realise that the likelihood of meeting one of BTS and one of the boys falling for them is miniscule. They deserve a private life with the person they love. They want children and time is ticking. I would love to see them as fathers. What could be cuter than a mini Taehyung, RM, JK, Jimin, Yoongi, Hobi or Jin?

@@ShikiBTS ~ just to add to Pyejammies comment about Taehyung’s loss of his grandmother. ARMY knew Taehyung didn’t want sympathy, he tried to hide the loss.
As Taehyung said in the clip, he was raised by his grandparents. BTS were on tour in the Philippines in September ‘16 when his grandmother suddenly passed away. Taehyung didn’t want to let ARMY down so he didn’t return home, but completed the whole tour. He should have gone home to mourn. He didn’t attend his grandmother’s funeral because BTS had their first win for Blood, Sweat and Tears, and again, he didn’t want to let ARMY down. He still didn’t mourn. We began to comment and worry that something was wrong with Taehyung as he was so quiet, and got thinner and thinner, so he eventually told us what had happened at muster in November. That winter he struggled badly, and there were nights Jimin would sit on hotel bathroom floors crying with him. He just never had the time to mourn and it tore him apart after no break from work for so long.
In February ‘17 BTS comeback song was ‘Spring Day’. If you know the lyrics you will understand how tough it was for him to sing it, and why he still gets emotional when they perform it. It affected all of BTS. Their first win with Spring Day shows BTS hovering around Taehyung ~ his protective brothers trying to shield him.
Taehyung lost his grandfather in summer ‘18 just as BTS were going to Malta to film Bon Voyage, so again he was back at work filming 3 days after the loss.
In the space of 2 years Taehyung lost both his parent figures, a close school friend who took his own life, and also two other friends who also took their lives.
Some think he is just the playful one; and it is true, he will do anything to make ARMY smile, but he carries life experience and wisdom that has made him so much the calm, deep thinking man he is off stage.💜

I am very emotional person . I cry at very small separating or meeting scenes . This video definitely made me cry as it is really sad to watch and its about members struggles .
Bts has changed me in many ways . I used to laugh just little , now I laugh wholeheartedly and I trust people more , share my feelings more and most importantly, I have started to love myself and be confident.
I am just 16 but the effect they have and will have in future , it will surely be good for me .

9:45 yes he was on a extremely dangerous diet, there are videos of him at that moment when he just faints, I'm so happy that he's now better and doesn't do that anymore! he actually tell us that we have to eat good and that it's ok to gain weight but you have to stay healthy :') I saw a comment recommending his self love journey and I agree, you should check that out :)

I think people shouldnt look at how much money they have but what they have sacrificed and worked their butts off to get, it didnt just fall in their laps they EARNED IT. A lot of Idols end up in debt even tho they are successful and they could have been the same luckily BigHIt stayed with them where a lot of companies wouldnt have both they and Band Shi-Hyuk had a dream and they kept going and I also I dont think they ever dreamed they would become as big as they are. When they blew up in the west it really changed their lives so now they have virtually no private life as they are constantly under scrutiny. The amount of media who wait for them at the airports when they are going anywhere is unreal.

The most hard thing about grandmother's V passed away was V could't say goodbye to her either go to her funeral because BTS were in Filipinas tour. This was very sad situation 😥
