Cyclocross, A Transfer Season Round Up

Midway through the road season, or the Cross off season as it should probably be called, I felt it was time to look at the plethora of small smatterings of news that have come out over covering everything from the ongoing Quinten Hermans saga to the disappearance of major crosses such as Jingle Cross and Gieten. A bunch of stuff has happened.

The Tormans saga was always likely to end in a mess; and did anybody really think QuickStep would really take an interest in CX? The dropping of Gieten isnt good, and another poor decision from Flanders Classics....
I don't know why Cross organisers have a problem with 'climbing crosses'...I recall a similar comment about Val di Sole. Are they worried more MTB-ers will turn up?
