I really like the finish that you put on it. Is that epoxy with faring compound or something else that let you smooth out the finish over the taped edges? I'm about 3/4 of the way done with a similar mouseboat. Also, what did you attach the decks onto? Just the thin plywood with tape or are there inwales?
My recollection is fairing compound, 3 coats of epoxy, a couple coats of high build primer, and then a few coats of Interlux Brightsides and spar varnish on the decks. Honestly, it was way over finished, but I was using up dribbles of products in the cupboard. Decks were supported by some 1/2” internal cleats at the perimeter and a longitudinal support at the centerline.
I made one years ago and the 2 sheet sailing version. Brilliant design.
Cool little boat. Looks very usable in shallow water/tight waterway situations.
Very cool

Thanks for posting this. How stable is it? The draught is very shallow and theres no keel - looks a bit risky!
Barry Carter Very stable. I never managed to tip it. Plenty of freeboard in flat water. I was even able to stand up in it!
Nice
What does it weigh?
A tad under 30 lbs.
@@spayment do you think it would be possible to make it lighter by building it as a skin-on-frame boat?
@@taranof Possibly. But it might also add an unneeded level of complexity to save maybe 5 lbs.
