ANNNNNNNNNND THAT'S A WRAP! Don't you worry, Lil Dumps is coming back soon... It might look a bit different but... It's going to be swell. Like, Comment, Subscribe, or don't Subscribe whatever is your vibe. JUST DUMP IT!
You give an honest commentary on your attempt to make the perfect har gow. It's encouraging to know that I'm not the only one who can't make a dish perfect the first time around. As the saying goes, "If you mess up in the kitchen, you can always try again."
Thanks for sharing your ups and oops of your Dumpling 🥟 Journey. Love the visuals, the history, and the appreciation given towards those that make our dim sum for us. 💖 Mahalo 🥟
I remember my dad tried to make Har Gow to me before but he failed many times. It's so difficult to make it well. Thanks for making all the efforts and sharing this recipe to all of us ☺️
Wow your video is so professional! I love shrimp dumpling! This is my go-to dim sum item! I didn't know the history of har gow. I LOVE your videos! They're so interesting
Ah what a treacherous journey! That trash bin shot gave me the feels XD Also, I can only imagine the hours you put in for researching the backstory on this, plus the animating it! Nice one!!!
I'm glad someone noticed! Yes, the trash bin... There would be quite a bit more consequences if that would have happened in a professional kitchen. T_T I'm not sure I would recover messing up in a michelin star kitchen.
@@_jonathanlue haha I legit watched the animation part twice because I wanted to do your effort justice! XD And seriously, I applaud your patience for trial and error, it's the kind of spirit you need in the kitchen to really innovate and perfect :)
Hey Jonathan I really enjoyed the video, I can relate so much as I also failed making har gows in the past and it was great that you included your failures in the video. I still don't know how restaurants manage to make them translucent though.. Anyway, looking forward to the next videos! Adding my two cents, you should maybe try to lower a bit the sound of the music cheers!

I first tried this 20 years ago and still remember it like yesterday. The most delicious thing

So true. When you keep practicing, you can only get better. And when you make mistakes, you learn from them, too.
That’s been my whole goal with this channel! :) always trying to improve and show my mistakes so others can get past theirs as well.
