    I love your video. It works perfect. My issue is trying to peel the Heat Transfer paper. I’m wasting half of the paper. Is there an easy way? Thank you!

    • @Savlabot
      @Savlabot 5 місяців тому

      Hmmm, it may just be the type of transfer paper you are using, anytime I have trouble peeling my transfers it is because of heat settings, either it can be too hot when being pressed, heating for too long or not heating long enough. All presses/irons can be different so you may need to tweak some of those things to dial it in.

    So you would be able to use an iron if yes what setting on heat cheers Kathie

      You can use an iron, I find that the holes in a steam iron do effect the overall finish so be sure to move the iron evenly across the transfer so that there is even heat to bond the transfer to the suede. I am not exactly sure what setting to use though, as I use my press, I would use the suggested temperature on the transfer material that you use.

    So I thought about using safety eyes to attach these. What are your thoughts?

    • @Savlabot
      @Savlabot 3 роки тому +1

      I think it would depend on what you are using them for. Safety Eyes usually stick out a bit and have a sharp point at the end, so I think that might look weird on certain items like a cozy where it may stick out too far when pushed up against the container. I use Chicago Screws they have a flat backside and they screw on which is nice. www.amazon.com/LQ-Industrial-Chicago-Phillips-Assembly/dp/B07795LPN6/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=chicago+screws&qid=1605739343&s=arts-crafts&sr=1-7

    How do they look after wash? Do they stay on?, fade a bit?

    • @Savlabot
      @Savlabot 3 роки тому +1

      I can't say that all transfer material will have the same results when washed, but the ones that I have used stick on really well and they do not fade. I have only washed a few though as tests so I haven't done a lot of them. My tests all held up just fine. They really shouldn't fade when washed, but really hot water may effect the suede/transfer so I would only suggest washing on cold, and laying flat to dry if you do launder them.

    will this wash off in the washer? is it ink?

      This is an iron on transfer, it is just like when you iron onto a canvas tote or shirt. It doesn't bleed and can be washed. I have a post on my blog with more details. There is a link in the description to the blog post.

    Did you cut each tag by hand or let the cricut cut it out?

    • @Savlabot
      @Savlabot Місяць тому

      For this style you have to cut them out by hand, the Cricut cannot read the registration marks on darker color material, so for this one I am only using my Cricut Heat Press not the Cricut cutting machine.

    So u can print this out on your printer with the transfer paper..

    • @Savlabot
      @Savlabot 3 роки тому

      Yes, I use a transfer material for an inkjet printer then iron onto the faux suede.

    I’ve been determined to make my own tags. I have a cricut. Three questions will cricut it the tags for me or are you hand cutting? How to you do that after you place the print? You stated this was faux suede, can I use the faux leather instead?

    • @Savlabot
      @Savlabot 3 роки тому

      These ones I cut out by hand not on the Cricut, I am only using the Cricut Heat Press for this type of tag. I do have a blog post for ones that I make and cut on my Cricut Cutting Machine and then I stamp on the design using fabric ink with a rubber stamp. Here is a link to that post: savlabot.com/?p=2845

      I have come to realize that people do not read the description attached to a video. This is a support video for my blog post on how to make DIY faux suede tags using Cricut Faux Leather and a Cricut Easy Press. The details on how to do it is in a blog post, this video is just to show how I did it. I now know that a lot of people don't read the descriptions and started adding text to let people know that more information is available on my blog and in the description. I had a lot of people ask how I did it, so I added this video for them, it is public so that it is easy to find, and it has a very detailed blog post that goes with it.
