This video resonated deeply with me. Letting go of a situation that no longer serves us isn't just an act of courage, but a step toward personal growth and peace. Stoicism teaches us that acceptance is power. Who else felt this powerful shift in their mindset after watching?
Yes, Stoic teaching contains many truths that we all need for a better existence here. Jesus said, the truth will free you. And it doesn’t matter where you find it, in the Law, a court, a school , the Bible , history or Stoic teaching. I’ve found it in all of these.
Marcus Aurelius’ quote about happiness depending on the quality of our thoughts really hit home. We often cling to things we can't control, but letting go truly opens up space for inner peace. Anyone else ready to embrace this lesson in their own lives?
I let go of a college friend of over 25 years when I realized that the friendship is very stuck and draining. No matter how often I reached out to offer support and help. It drained me and I finally let the friendship go. I wish my friend well and continue to love from the distance
A wise choice sometimes, letting go is an act of kindness to ourselves. The Stoics teach us that true friendship uplifts rather than drains. By wishing them well and loving from afar, you’ve freed yourself to focus on what nurtures your spirit. Peace follows those who choose it.
