This is an eye opener, Africa needs more of these problem solving devices locally designed and made by ourselves.

Nice.This roaster can also be used to grill and roast tilapia and catfish,chicken,burgers,cassava,yams,potatoes etc etc.
These are student project work, solving basic problems that are still necessary.

The government doesn't help local innovators....govt should order thousands for schools to help promote the product...look at Kantanka...at least 30% of Govt vehicles should be Kantanka...but that's not the case...😿

Gertrude, why can't you reset your mind to embrace and accept change? Every little change amounts to progress and should be commended. Otherwise, our women will be still running around in "danta" instead of sanitary pads. Would you rather embrace artificial hair and nails, just because it makes you feel better than you were created? This project is good and cost effective but honestly has to be fine tuned. A whole KNUST, step beyond this comfort zone and fine tune this project, get other developers involved.

How much will it cost?
The roaster with 3 sections.One section to grill and roast fish or chicken,second section to roast plantain and third section to grill and roast yams,cassava,potatoes etc etc.I will like to buy one.Can you buy directly from KNUST?

Then this your nice creativity will be benefiting someone else. Call in the government and NGO to gather money to start it mass production. People will be ready to even invest in it.

What’s the technology behind the energy conservation. If it’s a breakthrough, then it must be patented and then analyzed on how it can be extended other energy conservation related problems or even beyond. Secondly I have so much issue with our local inventors when it comes to design thinking. You should be able to create artistic solutions. Science and arts must always walk together which means that you should involve designers in this. Kudos to you for effort but I look forward to seeing more. Possibly look into other sustainable/ renewable energy solutions.

Good job, BUT I think they should have built an electric roaster. It would have made more sense, and way simpler to use...in my view
Electric meaning they would have to have access to an electricity grid and pay for electricity units before they can work? First of all you lose the taste from the grill, and the vendors would probably not be able to afford the electricity units. Charcoal is the cheapest fuel out there I believe

I won't call this multi grilling & roasting device as a rudimentary grill device cos, in any advanced country they commenced like this b4 becoming more precise & better in high tech manufacturing. So i believe that soon gh will be the first exporter of plain air multi grilling & roasting devices in the world through these brilliant inventors😉👍.............🍁
Most important part is I hope it will be affordable to our market women. And you guys should seek for funding elsewhere to increase production not the govt else your nice project will become part of the statistics of failed inventions in Gh.
