I bought your "how to practice" bundle about a year ago, and it has helped me dramatically. The way you approach the guitar and scales is exactly what I was looking for. I spent years locked into certain ways of playing lines. Now that I have the structure material that your bundle provides, learning the neck has been greatly improving. Also, realizing that your modes follow your numbers has helped me tremendously. Thank you for providing these lessons!
The reason is simple. As a husband a father and a provider I have a lot of responsibility that must be met or exceeded and although I would LOVE to improve my skill set as a musician I have all I can do to maintain the level of musicianship that I have reached. Each year I get worse and sometimes I struggle to sound lousy at best! By the time the gig is over I know exactly what I should have practiced if I wasn’t working 😂 ❤ 😎🎸
🎉 maravillosa intro del video, estoy muy de acuerdo con todo lo que dices, en mis doce años de experiencia dando clase de guitarra 🎸 creo que el mejor consejo para cuando un alumno me dice que no avanza es que practique y salga de su zona de confort
Yes, I felt stuck for many years for various reasons, but mainly because I was listening to progressive metal bands and jazz fusion, which are difficult to imitate without strong technical and theoretical skills. Things started to become clearer when I opened my mind to blues and discovered some great guitarists on UA-cam and Instagram. Gradually, my vocabulary became richer, and I realized that the best way to practice is to make exercises as musical as possible.
We all have a musical voice, and that's singing. It comes natural, we hear a piece of music, and we will sing along or make up our own version. If you can translate that to playing a instrument, that's the biggest step of the way.
I realized a couple of days ago that i rely too much on theory and not enough on my ear and mind. Being stuck on theory ideas and not enough of just allowing things to happen. Btw very smooth plug 😂.
Most people just want to work out the key or keys of a song as quick as possible. To get a song down. Then all the other stuff doesn't feel like a chore ,going through scales, triads etc when the goal is to play the song of choice.
I thought I was playing goof then switch to my tele and felt like I could control anything. I was playing a semi hollow Ibanez. The single coils throw my off I think.

Mainteinance practice is crucial.
I agree completely!

Great insight - thank you for sharing!
I have encountered several of these problems, particularly 4 and 5. I need better focus probably.
I understand completely!

I have experienced the same thing - the single coil sound and the longer scale length throw me off sometimes as well
👍
Thanks for watching!
It should be called ;” don’t complain about the results you didn’t get from the work you didn’t do.”
😂 Maybe you're right!
…uh … YEAH lol
The main cause of my not improving is having a FT job and also kids and nagging wife
Fair enough...thank you for watching! 😀
