Bernardo does the stuff that a lot of people don’t want to. That’s why he is loved. Sometimes a midfielder/forward has to make that extra sprint and provide some coverage and he is always willing to do that.
Id still think doku is in the strongest 11 unless You Play real Madrid or Liverpool then You need Jack to help the left back. Doku offers more creativity going forward and opens up teams that defend with 11 men.
So aren't we lucky then, that we have both of them? They are both outstanding players, they have different qualities as you have commented. Pep can choose either, depending upon the game/opposition. Let's be grateful and enjoy all our amazing players and not just the KDB's, Haaland, Bernardo, Foden, JS etc etc... Even our no2 keeper is one of the worlds best sub' keeper's IMO?
There's this weird war going on with our fans wrt Grealish vs Doku. I think right now in the biggest games, Jack is our go to but if you are going to play a weaker team then Doku makes more sense. Also people are forgetting that Doku is 21 and this is his first season under Pep, can you imagine the absolute complete baller he will be at 23 24? It's going to be terrifying, I am so excited
@@AndreasMenes exactly. so why people are worried about Doku getting minutes right now is baffling. He has a lot to learn and Pep clearly feels comfortable coaching him with games so let them cook. Jack is already solid, no need to teach him much

Another positive is that our defense didn’t concede a goal last night. The goal that was conceded was due to an Ederson bozo moment and he’s usually pretty good for 1-3 a season, so hopefully we’re done with those from now on 🤞
@@Pingwinho I haven't calculated them. But in my opinion the PL stats are the best to compare because the strength of the league is relatively similar from year to year. While other competitions can be full of cupcakes in one season and then you get noting but difficult draws in another season.
not your best XI without Julian! he literally was your player of the month just a few months ago. most minutes next to Walker. City wouldn't have the record they have without him while replacing King Kev and the Viking. Granted with them back, Pep has Julian as an ace up his sleeve, similar to when san antonio Spurs Popovich had Ginobili as a sixth man/super sub. Pep loves his versatility and the way he wins back the ball and generally harasses the back line and keeper. respect my boy!! lol😅
Foden may be in the form of his life, but man has he become selfish. Am I the only one who's noticing this? For all of the praise, I've lost track of how many times he could've made a simple pass to Haaland or Alvarez to play them through on goal this season, and he's gone for a long shots instead. He is of course forgiven when the team wins and he gets his goal in the end, but that selfish streak will undoubtedly haunt the team eventually if it keeps up.
How City fans think Grealish offers more than Doku, dont know anything about football. KDB isnt who he is because he can retain the ball, his everyone's favourite because he scores and assists. Compare Grealish stats against that of Doku and your answer is right there
City need players like Grealish to alow players like kdb to do their thing, Doku offers more offensively but he has room for improvement, different games will require different players
The only person here who doesn't know anything about football is you. Control and tempo is of the utmost importance to City AND Jack was one of our best players in the tail end of our treble season. If you think football is all about goals and assists you need to go back to the 1800s and witness the 1-2-8 formation.
