SRB2 isn't made in GZDoom, or any ZDoom family port for that matter, it's actually made in a heavily modified version of an old Doom Source Port known as Doom Legacy
from all other videos and websites I've searched they all mention gzdoom but I can't find any trace of it when I tried it that explains why 👍
@@PotaTOOM.Official yeah, I feel like people just see an amazing Doom project and assume it's GZDoom without checking to see if that actually the case. The project was started in 1998, GZDoom didn't even exist back then xp

A bit of a bummer when most news articles are spreading a misinformation when they are supposed to be factual.
And not making the proper difference between a mod and a fangame. The engine ≠ the game itself.

About SharpShooter 3d on 2:30 moment. First of all, I guess you wasn't prepare well before doing this video, because if you do, probably you gonna realise, that this mod also can be downloaded for free, not from steam of course. Second, about this mod. It's realy interesting to play it. The story is well made, gameplay is tough but no too much. If you like beat-them-up, this mod is ideal for you. The period of the game took place in early 2000s in Russia, and strongly represents this era in the country ingame. Every player who was from the post-soviet country, especially from Russia, find the atmosphere familliar with their own experience.
So I strongly recomend to try on this mod.
(P.S. making a video of mods and didn't even try them, It's goofy)

At this point, can these really be called "Doom" mods any more? Pretty much all of them only work in modern source ports.

Srb2 is not in the gz doom engine. It is in the legacy doom engine. A heavily modified version to be precise

Most weapon there is melee, but actually have 2 maybe 3 fire arm. Plus game inspired by 1990 years in Russia.

If there is a part 2, You should add the Mortal Kombat mod which is an entire TC of MK2 with new additions
like I mention I tried to highlight mods that are not well known and mortal kombat tc is so popular if I remember it correctly even ign covered it at some point
Yo, do you know how I can compile multiple mods into one pk3?
yes
rename all pk3 to .wad
compress into zip
rename zip to wad
Before doing that tho, you gotta check if mods are compatible with one another, like for example some mods might not let you use custom monsters, or some maps might bug out, so it's useful to check before compiling!

pc can't handle custom maps while recording so I can't maybe once I get a better pc I would do it 😅
Would doom run better on your computer under linux?
depends on the specs when it comes to linux gzdoom supports it so I think it would not be a problem

Finding mods was never been the problem its my limited PC capabilities and busy schedule
@@PotaTOOM.Official if your PC sucks in rendering... but atleast your internet connection is someway ok you could out sorce the work to online video editors...
because thier server will do the rendering work for you... and while down or uploading you can do other stuff
you could surf around twitch thier a many streamer that show how to use programms right to edit audio and video even online tools... and the most of them are so frendly to answere your questions aslong you dont try to load of your work for free on them xD

Sharpshooter3D feels like a gonzo reporter piece. Pretty sure your characters are just a bunch of punks but the implication is also you "gang" could be a bunch of neo-nazis fighting aliens or something. There's a moment on a train where you see two people recording and assaulting a minority which would sadly end up on a gore site frequented by most Russians. It's an ok wad but a lot of the implications paired with other player experiences points to that. I'm probably completely wrong but that's what I felt and hears from others.

@PotaTOOM.Official I mean, if you turn your brain off, it's good minless brain rot, but at the same time, it certainly feels like it's bridging the gap with that idea. Sadly, it was supposedly delisted (late relisted, I think) due to thebassumption that the creator was a Russian antifa which is a little extreme and baseless.
You didn't mention mortal kombat II on gzdoom (yes there is a mod made on the gzdoom engine)
It's a well known Doom tc mod That's why I did not include it here

@PotaTOOM.Official yeah it's offensive mod that is just one entire shit post I don't recommend playing for your UA-cam channel trust me UA-cam will 360 no scope your account for showing the offensive mod on your channel
The UA-cam name midnight did a review on Grezzodue pretty much risking his UA-cam video of that mod getting demonitized
