I really appreciate your time and energy in making this awesome vid. Enjoy training with you. Looking forward to seeing more wonderful Karate vids. Domo arigato Sensei Peace
Thank you very much, something like that is just how I like it. This reminds me of a course from last year here where I live where we did Sochin in all eight directions on one square meter, and each technique only once. Then combined with Bunkai, which worked perfectly. - Greetings from Germany! 🙂
@@KarateTraining Yes, it was a very good training with Silvio Campari from Italy, Shirai Hiroshi's son-in-law. He called the kata “Sochin ichi en ho” and translated it as “Sochin on one square meter”.
Osh... is Soto Uke's stance like that? (at 6:40 minutes) where is our body's defensive strength when resisting jodan-zuki attacks by using the konkutsu-dachi stance.
Thanks for asking - this was just an idea to train certain movements from the kata in different ways. It’s a way to challenge our brain and body, and get a little more fluent at the movements when performing the full kata.
Oh... Is Soto Uke's stance like that? (at 6:40 minutes) where is our body's defensive strength when resisting jodan-zuki attacks by using the kokutsu-dachi stance.
There is no Soto Uke at 6:40. There is no such thing as "attaching" any uke to a specific stance. Uke techiniques can be done from any stance and not only as defense but as strikes / blows. The upper body strengh comes from the stance - weight distrubution, balance, etc, use of hips, and muscle conditioning. Kokutsu is a "defensive" stance -i.e. moving backwards, defend and back to say zen kutsu in attacking. In any event how will you be guaranteed to end up in a certain stance when attacked? If you cannot get into a stance "assigned" to a certain uke then you are not going to use that defense....which is what your question implies. Blunt answer to the question - same place as your upper body strengh comes from when doing shuto uke.
Excellent, good change for me addition to fun training
Glad to hear it!

I don’t understand why you would modify the Katas? Space? Go diagonal in your room.
