You know it's a bad deal when Cuban says not to do it
@@gameovergang2934 lol Cuban has been the worst investors of all shark tanks!
@@jamesanderson-ip9dt on what basis? I'd say Robert offers the worst deals and pulls out most of the time
@@SCORPION7712 lets be honest Kevin has the worst deals.
@@jamesanderson-ip9dt yet hes worth more than all of them combined
Makeup junkies bags seems to be doing good
Here's an update on this:
She didn't take the deal. She ended up backing out since she said Lori wanted to take the manufacturing overseas while she wanted to keep it in Texas, which is probably why Cuban was also trying to sway her out of it. Her business is still doing quite well.
She used made in America in her pitch and said it with pride I am surprised Lori didn't think catch that or work with her.
excellent, we need more jobs in America especially with all the supply chain talk. Sometimes I think the infomercial on shark tank is the real value if you do not have contacts.
Overseas - China
She should have listened to Lori. Lori knows way more about business than she does.
@@julianbanks1885 As long as her business is doing well, it is good to not have a dependency on a slave nation
I go hard against Mark's bootlickers but he truly is extremely smart and tends to be fair to entrepreneurs. I'm glad Meredith backed out of Lori's deal.
He's not always fair with his 30 second shot clock and even worse when he says, "I'll go out if you listen to anyone else".
@@Zebness990 that’s just business for you honestly. Mark will make people extremely wealthy aswell as possibly having some of his connections which is HUGE(trump voice) lol seriously though those connections, recourses, and contacts are honestly the most important tging
@@Jodyjo99 but with entrepreneurs like the CEO of scrubdaddy or the mother daughter duo from wicked good cupcakes, Mark isn't always the best fit. I love Mark, I think he's the best shark of all including the past seasons' and guest sharks but it's not a 100% working formula to choose Mark. There are so many ST flops that went with Mark, maybe even more failures with other sharks so it's not a given and to bulldoze entrepreneurs into going with him while not considering or even listening to the other sharks who might structure a better deal from an equity or valuation standpoint or just overall better terms. For the sharks, it's only that one investment out of hundreds, very low stakes but for the entrepreneur, it's his life's worth of hard work, probably the only good thing they've ever or will ever come up with. It's all or nothing for the entrepreneur and more often than not, it's unfortunately the latter. I know it may sound repetitive but knowing that it's most of the other sharks who've had the most successful deals, it's also disrespectful to them when the shotclock approach is adopted. I hope I haven't offended you. Sorry if I did.
@@Zebness990 You’ve made very good points. I just want to tell you one thing that really bothered me about your comment. You said “I hope I didn’t offend you, sorry if I did”. Bro why would I be offended? Don’t ever apologize for stating your opinion. You made very good points that made sense. I don’t like how alot of people now are scared of offending people. In order to be able to think, you have to risk being offensive. I don’t want you to think I’m coming at you wrong but always stand your ground and never apologize for your own opinions and views. Salud!
@@Jodyjo99 I understand bro. Thank you. Cheers
She didn’t end up going through with Lori’s deal apparently and still owns 100% of the company ! Lori wanted to manufacture overseas and she didnt want to
That's good news tbh
That's good, she even said in her pitch MADE IN THE U.S.A. gotta love that for sure !!!
Really? How do you know this?
@Skipsterr91 nope, that's why don't be so gullible and do your own research. She's probably telling the truth tho, since most deals don't really go through
Dumb to not manufacture overseas. She’s competing with firms that do. It also hurts American consumers with higher prices while artificially propping up obsolete manufacturing industry.
Barbara:- you came here for loan or cash?
Her:- any kind
Barbara:- I’m out
She should have asked Lori to match Kevin's deal, which was a lot better. Royalty in perpetuity is nasty indeed.
Maybe, but also its somewhat a good thing, becase shark will want to make as much money as it can, so it will help your sales also. If they have royalty till they get their lets say 400k, when they get their money, they are out. With perpetuity they will stay with you for “ever”, so your product will have their support.
She didn't end up going through with it anyway
@@sefer1377 she still had a stake so after royalty is paid, they would still work to keep their profits coming. And even a royalty in perpetuity isn't a guarantee cos when they have their initial investment, they ca work less and not worry about losing anything.
Sara offered to give an interest free equity free loan of 200k but she refused?!!
Kevin always get shafted when he makes better offers
I know and it seems like a lot of people don't acknowledge or thank him that he at least made an offer
@@dogbreathmints it's because in most cases his offers aren't really serious. He's throwing them out there in order to try and force the other sharks to give them a better deal. So many people miss that.
@@MrBrightcide no, people just don't appreciate Kevin that much for his personality they rather go with someone more friendly but effective like Lori and Mark even if the cost is higher for their fame in making successful business.
Kevin is the only shark you really want, he’s the best business man.
4:48 funny how they edited it like she made the deal and immediately turned back and left the studio.
The way she walked in the end 💀
She’s did it on her own👏🏼
You know it's bad when even Mark is saying don't do it
“let’s do it”
walks away in silence
Sarahs deal was horrible(for herself) she would make 0 money, when the loan is repaid she would have 0 equity
not really ...she does nothing and makes millions in perpetuity......lori offered her time and resources for a bit more
@@robertortiz3345 there was no perpetuity
It's called helping someone out
there would be interest on the loan
Yes interest in the loan and probably the highest interest that can be charged at 10 percent
That first offer from Lori was brutal. 200k as a LOAN. $1 royalty FOREVER. +5% of the company.
Mark probably told his managers to call that poor woman and tell her it’s a really bad deal😂😂 to save her
hahaha...was thinking the same thing
Big mistake going out with Lori this time, i know Lori is one of best businesswoman but this deal could bring conflict of interest with her other BAG companies in her portfolio that can affect the business this newbie girl
deal didn't go through. Lori gonna just ripoff the idea
I wish she listened to Mark 💔
What did mark say? Lol I couldn't understand
@@deeshnutsh "Don't do that Meridith" in response to Meridith counter-offering Lori's perpetual $1 royalty per bag with 75 cents per bag.
Can you explain that? I don't know why it was so bad.
@@houchi69 because it was a royalty that last forever and never goes away
Barbara: you need investor and mentor? For that reason I’m out
Mark Cuban is the best when you're talking about Shark Tank
Ma’am that’s a pencil pouch
I am a king of royalties...lol... Mr Kevin
She really only needed a mentor her business is doing great!
@CNBC its a real shame you didnt include marks laugh in this 2:30 wouldve loved to see it, it was a great joke
Those bags are amazing I own like 8 of them and most of them since 2018 definitely worth the penny you pay for them and very well made !!
If there so amazing why own 8...
The way to be successful in the deal she accepted, would be about manufacturing cost and product pricing... To avoid the burden of selling a trillion bags in one year to cover her expenses, she'll have to consider the manufacturing cost of high quality material so that she can price her product at the highest price possible. Manipulating the manufacturing cost of highest quality material and pricing the product in a expensive bracket will easily minimize the ¢.75 being paid out and maximize the profits. The loan itself has a beginning balance of $210,000 and that doesn't account for penalties or interest turned principle if something goes wrong before it goes right. And, for as long as Lori holds her interest she will be owed 50k from every $1,000,000 made. Oh and most importantly now that she's dealing in the big leagues she needs to incorporate... The down side is the cost of a good marketing campaign, and the question of how much she can make with from the loan money without needing more investors or loans...
I'm gonna examine the other two deals as well. But I'm sure the last deal is not at all a good deal... Because she seems to only be offering a loan and nothing else.
Royalty in perpetuity is not good.
“Let’s do it”
*walks away, no hug
I would definitely have chosen her because of QVC and her connections too.
I just bought my first MJ bag. All the hype pushed me over the edge. Not only hearing how great these bags are, but I like that this chick has integrity. That's been lost these years. Knowing she still hand makes them etc. I'd rather pay a few extra bucks to buy something USA made, and support a small business. Rather than some cheaper inexpensive crap from China. Looking forward to trying out my bag. 💋
She dipped without a hug 😂😂
A big mistake, but what matters is that she was happy at the end
Hi.
Can you please explain why?
never ever agree to anything in perpetuity. always set a time frame.
She should have paid attention to what Mark was saying
What was he saying
@@KazimHasan321 not to take the deal from Lori. That's how you know it's a bad deal
She didn't even shake hands with, or hug Lori!!!
The video is edited genius
I want MJ 's outfit and enjoyed her pitch
5:02 Barbara: I've made you a good offer and for that reason i'm out.
Mark tried to help at the end like u see that
Lori has got really greedy. 200k as a loan and still getting 1$ in perpertuity plus 5%? I'd have said an instant "NO". She's now worse than Kevin.
I need this bag.
"Let's" *walks out* "do it"
I dont understand the deal, but ppl are saying it's not a good deal, but it is called SHARK TANK. The resources the speed the sharks can make things happen, is a deal on its own.
Because all these loans and royalty deals are garbage. Basically, you’re paying them to take your equity. In the short term they’re giving you the money, but in the long term you’re paying to take your equity plus interest. So, they’re getting your equity for free. And also royalty in perpetuity is never good.
@@crooper6052 thanks never looked at it that way!!
@@crooper6052 that's just a garbage offer, but basically most people will back out afterwards with that kind of "deal".
Lori : I will give you manufacturing resources ... Aka I will have it made in china .
There is something about Lori that attracts me, I don't know what.
i bought a couple of these for my girlfriend and she loves them, well made, look good but they are not cheap
This means you are not cheap. Kudos to you man!!
Mark was telling her NOoOoo lOL.. forever .. 0.75 is not agood
Let’s do it…WALKS OUT 😂
Barbara please don't talk...we know 🤣
I bought ten for my wife today!
Bad deal. Loan AND royalty? It's like you're paying her back twice and she's not interested in blowing your product up at all. If she was interested in that she would have took Equity so everyone could benefit in the exit.
I never asked you we’re did your bag
Everyone is patriotic until it’s time to put your money where your mouth is. She wanted to keep making them in the USA. Good for her. I hope all patriots support her
I say the same thing all the time. God bless her. And God bless the USA 🇺🇸
Lori learning from the master lol
That is the garbage offer, most people will turn down afterwards, no sane people want to receive offer like that. Give someone a loan with intetest, require royalty and equity ???
Has that guest shark even invested in anything in the many times she's come on?
Bcoz of the Title, I honestly thought Lori has this product in her bag🤦
Kevin's Portfolio is the best Portfolio.
N love Cuban!
Another make up bag. It is beautiful but it is another make up bag.She is intelligent and well composed.
That’s a great deal with the right Shark
That’s a pencil case
She doesn't understand that the value lori will bring is short time and lori knows that she would do it and put up once and will reap the monetary benefits forever, FOREVER!
just because Lori. Has a business in a bag and has presence doesn't make her a good business partner in this one.
Lori really became shark and ate her prey and prey doesn't know it.
I found it amusing:
That once. A big company takes over a small one in same domain.
Either they completely remove the small one, re-brand it or juice it until they can get money and then junk it.
And that's why just because it's there is beneficial is never a good idea.
She should have gone with kevin, or ask to put a cap on lori's royalty in my opinion
Dont get it Twisted. Lori is a SHARK
Pls stop giving the answer away in the title
How u pick the worst deal out the 3 🤣
That’s really dumb…forever is a long time, Kevin’s offer was really good, he’s jus brutally honest and some naive people just see that as arrogance
Kinda mad at her. Mark was gonna drop some wisdom and she totally shut him down. U always let a billionaire talk lol
Wow
She just walked out after the offer ...so rude 👍
Deals in perpetuity are never good deals
tbh, theres nothing unique with the bags.. any manufacturer can recreate the bags and made it even better and cheaper.
Why is Barbara sitting on the far right? This is very disturbing.
Lol.

Loan with interest
Equity in the company
Royalty in perpetuity
Might as well just ask to take her company for free
Lori scammed her even mark was saying no to do it.

Let me guess...Barbara was out
Y can’t Lori just knock off her bag ?

The gospel is good news when we understand that we do not (and cannot) earn our salvation; the work of redemption and justification is complete, having been finished on the cross (John 19:30). Jesus is the propitiation for our sins (1 John 2:2). The gospel is the good news that we, who were once enemies of God, have been reconciled by the blood of Christ and adopted into the family of God (Romans 5:10; John 1:12). “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1). The gospel is the good news that “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).
To reject the gospel is to embrace the bad news. Condemnation before God is the result of a lack of faith in the Son of God, God’s only provision for salvation. “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son” (John 3:17-18). God has given a doomed world good news: the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
HALLELUJAH AMEN PREACH THE WORD OF THE EVERLASTING KING JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH FOR ETERNITY AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone of you here watching this video is going to die at some point and each of you will answer to God for every idle word spoken, deed done by your hands and the motivation behind it.
Now, the evidence for this is that even if you say you don't believe me, your conscience bears witness that I speak the truth and you know there is a creator to whom you will answer to one day. Are you ready? Your "good actions" you rely on are detestable to God, lest you try to negotiate your way into Heaven. Only by grace and through faith shall you receive salvation.
Seek Christ while you still can, only He can forgive your sins. Repent and be born again, of water and the Holy Spirit. I say this without judgement and in absolute love when I tell you that Jesus is the light of the world, in Him there is no darkness...
What the heck!? 😐 Although, I read she didn’t go through with the deal bc of manufacturing disagreements, sigh of relief! But- she’s not very knowledgeable when it comes to crunching the numbers and negotiations. 🫤
And- everyone knows when in doubt, look at mark for confirmation! Lol 👀😬
