I love that you created that foil word die to fit in the shadow of the regular die! Your brilliance doesn’t surprise me. I am most thrilled that for once someone actually made a product on purpose that could be used with something we may already have! Oh how this needs to be done so much more! There’s a company that just had a stamp and die set in their Christmas collection that was Christmas presents and dies. Loved it! Then realized that they already had a stamp set with dies for regular days such as birthdays! Now there is no reason they couldn’t have made those presents fit the dies from the other set! It actually made me a tiny bit angry. This hobby has gotten extremely expensive like everything but us car making lovers would just take the money saved on using the original dies and not having to buy new ones, and spent it on more anyway. But it feels like there’s no regard for cost when designing and things like this can be done. So I want to commend you on being the first designer that actually made a point to help us get more use out of a new product by using something we may already have! Fist bump! 🤜🤛🏽
Well, I love yet another card you made, shocker, I know…and I too am happy that you bypassed the boop! Great card Cathy! Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us!!! Blessings & hugs!!!
This is a great card with lots of sparkle. Great idea making the dies and the shadows match the hot foil words. Thanks for sharing your ideas and products with us.
Gorgeous! Bonus, relatively simple if you have the supplies. This would be a great one to mass produce for the holidays...or any occasion if you just swap out the greeting. Thanks for another great video!
Greetings Cathy. Just a couple of foiling tips i learned. 1) you can ink blend a background then foil on top after. I saw Mindy Eggen do it. 2) the spellbinders color cardstock is smooth enough for foiling! They have lovely colors. I love your JOYFUL card !
Your cards as a elegant as any Nordstrom decor! The foil gives this holiday card all the shiny goodness the season deserves. Love that you always know when to stop adding to a card. I did learn, the hard way, with my glimmer machine to have small sentiment dies run vertical so when the are run through the die cut machine the roller are perpendicular to the plates and it helps to get better coverage, at least with my machine. P.S. Our days of warmth here in St Paul are a distant past until spring I think. 🥶 Thank you for sharing with all of us.
Love your card and it’s excellent design. Your foiling has really improved. Try Putting the greenish top plate next to your paper and the clear cutting plate on top just like when you die cut. I think the greenish plate can stand the heat and pressure better so it is closer to the hot foil plate. Also a little extra time heating large and especially solid foil plates helps. Keep those cards coming.
Beautiful card Cathy! Love the foiling, love the colors. I use an ATG gun a lot of times for projects I’m working on, specifically for my mini albums. When my friends and I are scrapping online, they’re always hearing the “squeaky wheel”. 🤣 I have some silicone spray left here by the guys that put my new slider in a month ago that😅 they used to free up a window that was stuck. It has the little red straw thing like on WD40 and I sprayed the silicone spray into the squeaky wheel of my ATG gun. 🤣 NO more squeaking! I thought maybe that might be a suggestion if you wanted to use it for your spellbinders die cutter. I have that same Spellbinders die cutter too, but don’t know off the top of my head if it squeaks like that also. Will have to try it out again soon to see if it squeaks, and if so, then I’ll spray some of that silicone spray in the crank area since I still have it my basement yet. Also wondering where you get the pink tape and the cute pink tape dispenser for your pink tape. I want one too!!! 🤣. Love the card and looking forward to more creations as always! Take care. Hugs!
Beautiful card Cathy. I should order the foil die Joyful as I do have the other one. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful day and weekend. Keep warm hun I know it’s cold where you live I’m in Northern California a lot different lol 😂❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful color combo. I have the Gemini version for foiling currently. I notice your not using you blue die-cutter. You must have that downstairs for those times you wish to cut there. I’m considering the glimmer if a good deal comes along because I purchased the Switch earlier this year, and although I use my Gemini more often than not, I love the Switch too. Haven’t mastered the sandwich without looking, so I tend to go to the Gemini. Plus the Gemini fits on my Totally Tiffany thing and the Switch is a little long for that. I haven’t tried blending over foil yet, but gonna!
I would love to buy a glimmer machine, but I’m my situation with being on social security disability so soon, it’s the cost of all the foil plates that keeps me from doing it. I’ve seen them on clearance for great prices but still that’s the never ending investment. I have a laminator I’m just actually getting ready to foil some panels I used the duo paste on with stencils. As soon as I can. I did the pasting already. For now I guess that’s where I have to stay and see how much I like the foil. I really enjoy the backgrounds the most like you just did with the word too. I’m not really for the foiled flowers and such. Again, great card and mad respect on thinking out the design of that word foil die!!!
I love the look of foiling, but I have not dipped my toe into those shiny waters. Maybe after I make a dent in the mountain of embossing powder I was given! 😂 Love your card! Good call on the sequins. They would have been lost. #bypasstheboop. 😂😊❤️
Couldn’t you use the t-square ruler on the right side of the card for the sentiment placement, given this particular combo of letters? I’m a lefty so am always thinking about opposite workarounds in many of my crafts.
They are a different type of foil and I should know the difference, but… hot foils transfer with heat, and other foils transfer to toner ink with heat.

My Christmas wish this year is to be just like Cathy Zielske! You are so inspiring and uplifting! Thank you Cathy! ❤
You are too kind! Just be the best Carey you can be!
I think the card is finished without the book, this time. Love it. Thanks Cathy.
Well, I love yet another card you made, shocker, I know…and I too am happy that you bypassed the boop! Great card Cathy! Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us!!! Blessings & hugs!!!
I really like the way your finished this card. I agree sometimes you do not need to add anything more. Great colorful card!
Fantastic idea the create foil plates to match previously released products. Love this card! 💖🧡💛
I love your hot foil plate it truly brings “joyful” shine to your creation!
And you’ve got room for purple banners on the top AND bottom!
This is a great card with lots of sparkle. Great idea making the dies and the shadows match the hot foil words. Thanks for sharing your ideas and products with us.

Oh… I never think to do it that way!
Those dots turned out so pretty.
Lovely bit of foiling there Cathy. Love the font used for your 'joyful' die. What a beautiful card. x
What a nice surprise on this gloomy, chilly, rainy Friday…good morning everyone!!
Love the color combination ❤️ Beautiful card Cathy 💖

Yes, it got cold today!
I love the dimension on the hot foiled Joyful. 😍 Thank you Cathy! ❤
Those foiled spots are so pretty. 😊
Lovely foiling, nice you made the joyful plate the same size as the old die!
Wow, major elegant vibes. Love the color choice for this joyful card! Thanks for the share. Look forward to your next card sesh 👉
Love the color combo and all the shine from the foil!! ❤
Love the new plate…very usable throughout the year.
I love the dimension. It's beautiful.
Beautiful card! Love the colors! Your cards are always very inspiring.
Great card - love the way the new product works with the previously released product. Almost missed this today - it was early on a Friday for me!
Love this. I had already purchased both the Joyful hot foil plate and the die set. I really enjoyed seeing them used on a card.

Oh, okay! I will try that!
Just gorgeous, Cathy! SOLD!
The shadow die really allows that Joyful to stand out. Love that Aura Glimmer Foil.
Beautiful card Cathy. Thank you!

Oh yeah, never think to oil it up!
So pretty. I love all the shine.
Good choice to #bypasstheboop 😂.
I have so much trouble knowing when to stop the boop
Your boopless card is a winner! #IMissTheBoops
Love the brightness of the card. Colors are gorgeous 💖
Beautiful card Cathy. I should order the foil die Joyful as I do have the other one. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful day and weekend. Keep warm hun I know it’s cold where you live I’m in Northern California a lot different lol 😂❤️❤️❤️
You know I love a good boop, but in this case you made the right call! Thanks for the card!
This is so pretty! 😊❤️🇨🇦
Wish I could buy your word dies in Australia ! I love them
I LOVE this so much, so pretty!! ❤️

Yes, all the things are not all needed for sure!
Very pretty card!
Beautiful clean and simple design and gorgeous holiday glitz! #bypasstheboop
What a beautiful card!!! Love your foiling plate and the fact it works with your shadow die❤
Gorgeous!
Every time I see the "HO" on the plate in any video, it cracks me up, and I have to exclaim, "HO!" So I get boops and Hos.
Fabulous card Cathy! Now that I’m off my soap bo ! Lol but really great job creating the foil die!
I love these colors too,

Ohhh, I love your paper storage unit 😊
I bought the glimmer plate machine and a spellbinders die cut machine but I haven’t had the chance to use it yet 😢
"I accidentally cut a single ho, don't do that!"- CZ LMAO

Yep! You sure can!
Hey CZEEE
Beautiful card!
(Never seen how foiling is done.)
What is the tool you used to hold and glue down "Joyful"?
The Reverse Tweezers! Honey Bee Reverse Tweezers

May i ask what is the difference between the heat foil and the transfer foil? Seems they look pretty the same
They are a different type of foil and I should know the difference, but… hot foils transfer with heat, and other foils transfer to toner ink with heat.
I noticed you hot foiled first then ink blended. Do you find you have better success this way rather than ink blending then hot foil? Thx Cathy
I have never tried the other way! I will have to!
I miss the craft / dining room
Well, there it still holds all of my stamps! hahaha
I don’t want to buy yet another machine. Can I use foil without the hot foil machine?
You can use the foil in different ways, but you can't use the foiling plates without a hot foiling machine.
Yes! Thermoweb has foil and a paste that works wonderfully without a hot foil machine!
