Or a new receptacle is like, 2 bucks and then you don't have prongs contacting with HALF the intended surface area. This is a patch fix at best. If the receptacle isn't holding, then its worn and needs to be replaced.
I was able to use medium size plastic tie wrap cut to the right size and inserted into the outlet with safety gloves and then put the plug in. Works great and so much cheaper!
LOL, pushing a plastic shim between the plug and half of the socket's contacts.. What could go wrong? 🤣🤣
