oh, Flake is the reason the band are classed as industrial metal, the treadmill came about 'cos Flake complained he gets bored during shows, but running around a R+ stage with pyro jets everywhere not a great idea, first they gave him a segway, you can see him whizzing around on it on the Vólkerball dvd but then in a later show he crashed into Till and hurt his leg badly. think they had to cancel some shows, after that the treadmill arrived and it been a regular part of Flakes set up since plus he looks cool as f.. on it

I am amazed at how much he wants to navigate around the topic. Who ended up on the cross? Who had their nails hammered in? Who was resurrected in 10 days? No one can tell me that he doesn't know who we're talking about here. From Jesus Christ, of course. However, Rammstein is approaching this with a different perspective. Not believing in a forgiving God, but a vengeful one. What he shows through all the horrors in the world that Rammstein sings about.
Most bands are used to the lead singer being the 'face' of the band, then next is the lead guitarist - except for R+. Much as Richard has many many fans and is as deserving of rank as any other lead guitar, somehow it's Till, then Flake, then... well... the others (For me it's Paul next but hey that's me). The relationships within the band are interesting and Till's links to Richard are, shall we say 'intimate'? Paul and Richard, as lead and rhythm guitars are very obviously great mates, Till and Flake are also close, but the whole point of 'Haifisch' is that they are aware that it can't always be roses all the way and, like a marriage or any relationship, it takes work to maintain. R+ split all money 6 ways, everyone in the band gets composer credits because at some point in a recording, all of them contribute to the end product. It's not easy to keep the same line-up for 30 years.
Now that you’ve seen this one, I’d like to suggest the video of both Weißes Fleisch and Asche zu Asche at Big Day Out in 2001. Madison Square Garden is usually the one people watch for Weißes Fleisch, but it cuts off the ending pretty abruptly, so I personally prefer the performance at Big Day Out. Also, they once did an interview where Paul talked about asking Flake if they were going to be six members in the band or were they going to be five, and as of that interview, he still hadn’t gotten an answer. He also talks about how if Rammstein is goulash, Flake is the spoonful of sugar you need to make the taste perfect.
I fully understand that you're given suggestions for specific performances but the Paris DVD is a bit of a bone of contention for many Rammstein fans. Some enjoy it but for others, there are too many fast edits and added effects. Jonas Akerlund, the director, rather threw the kitchen sink of effects at this DVD to my mind and they detract from the actual performance to my mind. The music is outstanding as always and yes,he wants revenge. Great reaction though, keep going!
phew, thanks Fiona sometimes I think I'm the only one that hates the epileptic inducting editing, juvenile effects, he does so many things right ..the intro is great, lighting perfect for R+, but..he loses the run of himself..the show is great, some songs are almost ok ''Wollt ihr bett in flammen sehen'' is great so is a few others but while I love the Dvd, it gives me a headache but like Till I shall suffer it lol
@@jezza117 Well, as you might know right now I am a fan of Rammstein since 1997. BUT. I think Akerlund did a BS-job on this one. Fast cuts to their music are not too bad, but he overdid it 100%. Who am I do dare to say that? I just have a BA (hons) degree in digital film production. I really would like to go through that footage and but it together in a new way, but well. I also would like to talk to Akerlund and ask him, what the hell he took as they were at the editing stage. Further than that. Enjoy your weekend. ❤

Du Reicht So Gyt 98 version Is a nice vid too... and then 'we' get into the more modern bigger budget videos, Mein Land , Auslander, and Amerika you will need to pull up english lyrics... last two albums have english subs... Radio is one you should check out It has eng subs.. Zick Zack is a video where you dont need to hear the lyrics, the vdieo makes it Very clear on what they are trying to convey...
