TRUTH! Been playing some sort of "tank" pvp from the beginning myself. Never switched from it other than trying out the other popular builds from Knight and Atlas. Landed on this one a few months ago and never looked back. Not switching to the "meta" or what's popular and sticking to the same thing for months/years, makes you better at your craft. I am sure Savan will get the hate messages as I do when playing this build. It is typically from people that just cannot easily beat you in whatever scenario they are in. I typically tell them "I have been beating plenty of times by others, just not you!" Savan as always, much love coming from Mandos on Lilith!
Thanks for your video, now I play this kind of build. Since the maj season 5, I get blown up in some second, I receive a lot of damage, is it for you it's the same? thank you
Bugs with VG/FS, VG (Lifetaker) is ignoring resistances and FS is doing more damage than it should. Also seems to be a change in stagger or grit frames. Too many factors at the moment I wouldn't make any hard conclusions until everything is smoothed out probably give it a week before things iron out.
Hi there, nice video but its old from the time when dodge in h costed still 50 stamina. Do you think this build is still viable in s5 with 55 stamina dodge and -15% base dmg? I find myself hitting like sponge bob . Would still like to see if you can run it in s5 after all h nerfs :( .
A few of my videos have the stamina nerf in them. It's not optimal, more stamina is better but I am managing. I played a few games and the new combat code definitely changes the game up. It does not help there are so many bugs right now. I will make a video when everything irons out as there are too many factors at the moment.
@@SavanRPG I changed setup a bit and I'm doing damn nice now, still able to pump up dmg with emp. leaping strike on sword and hammer. massive rend (shockwave+clearout+a.breaker) also tanking in 1vx is good with sure footing(sword)+sturdy ( shield). I would recommend you to get shirking energy on chest it works wonderfully with 250 str perk (33% s.regen). Anyways looking forward for your next vid. Cheers
@@BillyPitonNS Glad to hear brother, all set ups I've ran before. Sturdy and Sturdy Energy on chest are great options. Sure footing is not great on sword. You are trading damage for movement when you can put it on shield. Leaping strike is hit or miss as you lose the leaping strike empower if your opponent rolls away or uses a gap close to escape. Overall not terrible options just not optimal in my opinion. But I will cover all this in the next video, thanks for running the build ⚔🛡
@@SavanRPG I was already thinking about all aspects u mentioned here, the deal is I am using sns to heal up, survive and escape situations when you get swarmed by the enemies. Here sturdy + sure footing comes really handy, without sturdy on shield stamina goes down faster and if u get exhausted its over in 1vx. Now perks on the sword like thwarting strikes and attunement rly doesn't give that much cause s has low base damage and att. has 1.5 s cd so u can count on it only your 1st hit of the combo(~150 dmg), ts is ok thats 7% on each hit not much but its constant. Mainly my dmg comes from the hammer and don't forget whenever u hit a skill enemies gets exhaustion while you recharge your stamina fast (basic attack33%+ s.energy on chest 42%), when enemy is low stamina or exhausted its time for h attack(30% emp.+ leaping strike) in those 3sec you can surprisingly make lots of damage. As a H tanker I have to accept that I wont be able to kill every enemy always because we got some mobility but can't compare to lights (not to mention muskets, bows), main goal for me is staying up and running, holding points and killing off careless lights and those who accept melee fight with me. Waiting to see next video and your opinion on these aspects. 💪
@@BillyPitonNS Well said, that's the beauty of SnS/WH tanking there's lots of different styles and options. As you know the Omni Tank is the best of both worlds one where SnS is damage through consistency and WH is damage through CC combo. I don't like using SnS just to stall but that's what makes my build different from most tanks. If it works for you I say stay on it and refine it video coming out this week still collecting footage. In Heavy We Trust brother.
@@SavanRPG Played a lot yesterday and I have been using your build for a while now. I have not noticed the -15% being that big a deal. The combat though feels very wonky/laggy, sorry that's the best way I can explain it. Let me know what you think. Also, I think they did something with the leaping strike stagger. I used to be able to stop a burnout mid zoom with it, but last night that seemed to not be the case :(
@@Darkness77 my man appreciate the rundown. I've learned it's best to give new patches a day to work themselves out. I'll be on today or tomorrow to check things out. Unfortunate to hear about the leaping strike stagger, lots of potential bugs/breaks with the new combat code and patch.
@@Darkness77 Haven't noticed it yet but also haven't tested that scenario specifically. I do know there's a lot of things going on right now to make any conclusions. Between Lifetaker/FS damage bugs and there seems to be a stagger or grit frame change that's locking a lot of people up mainly melee. I'll play some more and draw formal conclusions when everything has ironed out. Let me know if you see anything on your end that affects the build.
Yea, I played some of S5 but it's not worth making content over. When we get actual content and the player population gets back to a healthy number I'll start pumping videos out again.
Nothing fancy, just the right moves at the right time, executed to perfection.

hello, are you planning on making a s5 build video?
Yes, give me a few days to gather some data and decide how we will move forward against the meta.

Haven't played much since S5 started but the build remains the same.

I mean how do you find such lobbies? 😂
The lobbies I play in it’s perma 5 man pre mades in enemy teams 😅
Play enough games and you'll run into all skill gaps. That being said, solo, duo 5 mans, everyone can get it!
Ahhh hellll nah.
so they are nerfing heavy damage again tomorrow. you have any thoughts about the patch?
Not ideal but probably pretty negligible. Knowing what we know about AGS it's best to find out by getting our hands on when the patch goes live.
